Chris Nelson’s Gold Coast Best Bets Posted on May 15, 2020May 15, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.7 He’s Imposing New addition to the Steve O’Dea stable who showed a ‘turn of foot’ to score at the Sunshine Coast when having his first run for the stable. He drops 5kg in weight for tomorrow’s race, comes up with an ideal draw and importantly gets an additional 100m which won’t concern as he has won up to 2400m. Just needs a genuine enough tempo up front to win again! RACE 4 No.14 Iconista Front running mare who made all the pace (setting a strong tempo) when winning at Doomben last time out. Yes that was in maiden company however she looks well up to the higher grade tomorrow and I like the fact the horse she beat home at that win has form through Shadow Of Time who is flying at the moment. Looks a good bet at double-figures. RACE 7 No.8 Brains Giving this one a sneaky chance tomorrow and he has met with some good odds support in the early markets. Just spotted him making late ground both runs this prep and he now gets out to the 1800m which although a sharp distance rise shouldn’t work against him. Wouldn’t be the least surprised to see him running into the finish half way down the straight. Quaddie 1, 3, 4, 11 2, 4, 5, 8 9 2, 5, 8, 10 1, 8, 17 Market Market
