Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on May 15, 2020 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 15th May 2020 Race 4 – No. 2 Nando’s Thunder Racing well without winning in solid times. He possesses a good record in stripes and he has been jumping well enough of late to find the early lead in this. Can finally top the podium for the first time in two months. Race 9 – No. 1 Tandem At Pace Worked home strongly late to salute over this trip last week after settling midfield from a wide draw, defeating SON OF JAMAICA (2) by a head in 22.82. Has his best draw yet and should prove too good again. Race 10 – No. 1 Westdale Prince Times in defeat have been impressive in stronger FFA line ups than this. He has his first 490m red rug in eight months and should not let that go to waste. Each Way: Race 12 – No. 5 Scootaloo Has only missed the place once in her 11 start career and while she is better suited over longer, she will be fitter for a first up 3rd over this trip last start and is capable of causing an upset if she avoids early trouble. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 5 / 1.6 / 8 / 1.2 $4 for 100% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 16th May 2020 Race 3 – No. 2 Premium Share Should be ripe for this and has had no luck at his past two so best to forget he went around. Massive chance of bouncing back from the favourable alley. Race 4 – No. 2 Chimera Monelli Should get a good run right in behind the Victorian Catch The Thief (1) and he will be strong at the finish. Strong winning claims. Race 6 – No. 7 Werewolf Monelli Has shown plenty of early toe to lead from this and surrounding draws in the past. The only query is if he can return to his best after a last start injury but if he is at full fitness, he looks mighty hard to beat in this. Each Way: Race 5 – No. 1 West On Axel A winner in just 1 of 10 and does face his stiffest test to date but he has drawn to capitalise on early trouble with an abundance of pace drawn to his outside heading into the first turn. Worth an Each Way ticket at big odds. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2.3.7 / 1.6.7.8 / 3.4.5.6.8 / 1.2.3 $50 for 20.83% Trifecta – Race 2 1 / 2.4.7 / 2.4.5.6.7.8 $30 for 200% First Four – Race 4 1.2.6.7 / 1.2.6.7 / 1.2.4.6.7 / 1.2.4.6.7.8 $50 for 46.29% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 17th May 2020 Race 2 – No. 5 Sudoku Opal An all the way winner in her only run over this trip at her race debut when posting 17.29. Has been racing well of late at Cannington and looks set to continue that in her return to Mandurah. Race 5 – No. 1 Veyron Star Put six on end before suffering defeat when 2nd in a heat of the Mandurah Oaks. Had no luck in the final and she will find this more to her liking. Too classy for these. Will be short but will be winning. Race 6 – No. 1 Fernando Man Never too far from the action with top 4 finishes in 7 of his 8 starts to date. Runner up in 4 of his past 5 and from his first rails draw, he gets his chance to go one better. Bet Now! Bet Now!
