Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on March 3, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 NATIVE CHIMES backs up from last week and drops back in trip. She lead them up and was gunned down by Beret last week but that was in slick time. Looks to be one main rival and should give Lucy Warwick a wonderful chance at returning to the saddle a winner. JAKESTAR has finished in the money at all three career outings and should bound to the front for Chloe Azzopardi. Looks hard to run down. PRINCESS ZURI may get a fair way off them but can finish powerfully. ROYAL ROCKSTAR was burnt off in a recent Lark Hill trial but showed speed. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – NATIVE CHIMES WIN Race 2 OUR BOY DYLAN always travelled like the winner in his recent trial. Draws a gate to get a prominent run in transit and should be in the finish. SOLAIA looked the goods at Lark Hill but that was a 400m jump out. Into a 1200 on debut is the obvious query. LINCOLN’S LAW ran a huge race on debut but from the draw will need some serious luck. TIME SCALE was not fully tested in a recent trial and Simon Miller’s yard is really firing at the minute. Numbers: 7 – 12 – 2 – 13 Suggested Bet – OUR BOY DYLAN WIN Race 3 GIANT LEAP was wide the trip on debut and ran third in what has turned into a quality little form reference behind Levitate and Beffunjar. The recent trial was electric and if Pike can keep him within striking distance he looks very hard to hold out late. MR DELEGATOR looks like another son of Maschino who will be winning plenty of races from the front. Can prove hard to run down. CLIFFS OF COMFORT was run off his feet by Bosnipp in a recent trial but never gave up the chase. ENDURING MOMENT trialed well for a return to the races. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – GIANT LEAP WIN Race 4 ORISTANO went under as a $1.70 favourite first-up but expecting in this field that 99.9% of punters will be following up. Nothing wrong with the run, was just unable to reel in Eeyore Wayz over 1200. From the gate should either lead or sit just off them and looks too good for moderate opposition. LYLE’S CHOICE has had absolutely no luck at two starts this preparation. MOAMA ROSE draws to box seat and has always shown ability. STILLA LYA an improver. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – ORISTANO WIN Race 5 XAARMERIT sat leaders back and arguably ran his career best race at Narrogin. Not suited to sitting and did a wonderful job to get off heels, balance and fight when only going down to subsequent winner Apparition. This race looks a great assignment for him. BLAIZEN CAZAH ran third to Mexi Cola and Bonneville Black track and distance three starts ago. WILD GALAH is always around the same mark as the stablemate. SHAKE THE BLOOM won a weak Narrogin maiden but looks a one paced stayer. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – XAARMERIT WIN Race 6 SHE’S GOT MERIT won well at her first start for Dan & Ben Pearce when holding off the late charge of Tommy Blue who ran second in the Pinjarra Magic Millions and bolted in a Saturday race. Not disgraced last time out when beaten 4L to undefeated mare Sherpa Lass. SEMIGEL has really hit form but the gate makes it tough for him. RUSH’N MACHINE trialed well behind first-up winner Chisano. STRASMORE was a first-up winner last preparation for Kate Southam. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – SHE’S GOT MERIT WIN Race 7 SAKARYA was a half step slow last start which is a big concern drawn the inside gate but if Chloe Azzopardi can step her away then she should lead and from there is the one to beat. Comes from a Saturday 60+ win back into a C3. Great placement. TOLLMAN won well first-up and was brave. That race produced Ascot 1000 Guineas winner Lonsdale Lady and obvious he’s hard to beat. THUNDER BOOM sat three deep the trip no cover at a mile first-up no trial to win. Huge effort. BLACKWOOD RIVER is a better horse than his two runs so far. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SAKARYA WIN Race 8 FREE TRADE absolutely bolted in the Pinjarra Classic when given the best run of all time by Chris Parnham in a fast run race dominated from the front. He was $1.20 in running from the 800m. Genuine star and no reason he doesn’t make it a feature double. FLOWER OF WAR proved last start that she can make it in Listed Company. She’s going too well not to test the favourite. PLATOON went to a new level last preparation and no reason why he can’t make his presence felt here. TELLEM WE’RE COMIN never got into the race first-up. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – FREE TRADE WIN Race 9 TAWNY PETE is a very talented front runner. Kept fresh here by Paul Roberts who is training winners left right and centre at the moment and Mitchell Pateman has claims as the best front running rider (behind Jason Brown). If he leaves cleanly and leads he’ll take serious catching. ROADRAGER will spot him a fair head start. If the track is playing fairly it’s game on, but of recent times it hasn’t been. HENTY GAL was a little disappointing last start but this is a drop in class. GESSATO is going very well and progressing through the grades. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – TAWNY PETE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,3,4,5 1,3,5 5 1,4 Market Market
