The Scout: EPL Matchday 9 Posted on October 19, 2018October 19, 2018 | Posted by The Scout Chelsea vs Manchester United 20th October, 7:30pm WST Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge as Manchester United (8th) take on the undefeated Chelsea (2nd) in a blockbuster opening to Matchday 9. Manager Maurizio Sarri has breathed new life into a Chelsea squad that lost their way a little last season. At the heart of Chelsea’s (mini) revival has been Belgian superstar Eden Hazard who leads the League for goals scored (7) and is just one off the pace for assists (3). He’s playing like a man who knows he’s the best player on the pitch, regardless of the opposition. Manchester United’s title hopes are already in tatters with losses against Brighton, Tottenham and West Ham. The talk around Mourinho’s job security isn’t going anywhere until he finds a way to get this Red Devils squad playing up to their potential. Suggested Bet: Match Result Chelsea & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.50* Bournemouth vs Southampton 20th October, 10pm WST The 6th placed Bournemouth continue to surprise, and with 16 goals to their name they’ve made a habit of punishing teams who dare (or try) to match them with firepower. Unfortunately for Southampton (16th) there have been no surprises. They have just the one win, a couple of ugly draws and haven’t shown much to get excited about up front, finding the back of the net just six times through the opening eight matches. Bournemouth are undefeated at home averaging an impressive 2.5 goals per contest at Dean Court. With strikers Callum Wilson (3 goals, 4 assists) and Joshua King (4 goals, 1 assists) leading the way The Cherries could have this one sewn up very early in the piece. Suggested Bet: Match Result Bournemouth @ $1.98* Everton vs Crystal Palace 21st October, 11pm WST Everton are rolling with two wins on the trot and a great chance to make it a hat-trick against a struggling Crystal Palace outfit. The Toffees recent form has come largely on the back of their offensive unit, in particular Gylfi Sigurdsson who has three goals from the last two games. Crystal Palace have been poor in attack for most of the season with just the five goals scored and only one in their last three games. Too much has been left to Wilfred Zaha (3 goals) and he again looms as their savior in this encounter. Everton have scored five goals in their last two games, while Palace have five for the season. With this in mind I expect the attacking trio of Sigurdsson, Theo Walcott and Richarlison to be too much for the Eagles to handle. Suggested Bet: Match Result Everton @ $1.81* *Odds correct as at 2pm WST 19th October 2018 Market Market
