Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on October 19, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BLACK ATTACK gets her chance to break through at start number two for her new stable. Looked to have above average ability last preparation and returned very strongly when only peaking late. Pike on, weak race. TRACE SEA was reasonable from a long way back and draws a soft alley. TORTINA is rock hard fit but has had a ton of chances. BENNY BRUISER could be an improver at a big price. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – BLACK ATTACK WIN Race 2 THE FUGAZI has been specked at a huge price in the WA Guineas market. If connections think he will get anywhere near that sort of race then he needs to be winning this first-up. Showed super ability at trials and was unable to reel them in on debut. SURE CONVICTION ran into a top class filly on debut and is sure to find this far easier. PURE MAGNUS can show speed and lead them up on debut. RICH TURF was brave on debut and improves here. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – THE FUGAZI WIN Race 3 RAPISARDA will give a big sight if Mollie Clark can find the front. Has lead in trials and looked a nice type. Always worth forgiving horses who don’t flatter down the Pinjarra straight. HITCHIKER drawn gate one should be able to sit leader’s back or even hold the front. Trial was nice before being beaten a fair way in a strong form race. THE PEN was incredibly well backed at York when going under. Drawn awkwardly but a stronger senior engaged. EUPHONIOUS could open a big price for a horse who has run some nice races in a short career. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – RAPISARDA WIN Race 4 VERMONT LADY lead them up at an electric pace last start. Drops back in trip which looks ideal, draws a soft gate and 3kg claiming apprentice replaced by Chris Parnham. Lots to like. DECEPTION GAME has strung together two on the bounce and is capable of going on with it. Enjoys a similar soft run. AWESOME AS goes well at Bunbury and ran well fresh in a strong race. POINT gets back to last in the small field and will look to circle them. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – VERMONT LADY WIN Race 5 BARBIE WILL DO is one who went into the blackbook at trials when ultra impressive on a number of occasions. Has raced without luck in three career starts and can do things wrong. Senior rider aboard could be the key. COCKNEY CREW is definitely the one to beat on paper. If Lucy Warwick finds the front they will struggle to catch her. HOT STYLE has been eye catching at both runs this preparation but again has to go back. MUSKEBELLO gets a soft run throughout. Numbers: 14 – 10 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – BARBIE WILL DO EACHWAY Race 6 CASLAVSKA looked to relish the step out to a mile and was a soft winner in the end. Should track up three deep with cover and looks to have come from the strongest maiden. ARNIE’S BOY is still a maiden but if he can jump and lead then he’ll be a big chance of shaking that tag. LENNON’S SONG has been hitting the line strongly. Minor query dropping back in trip. PROZONE can improve third up at a suitable trip. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – CASLAVSKA WIN Race 7 AMELIE ARGOT is an eye catching mare who has won 2 from 4 and ran into boom filly Fabergino in the process. She has trialed up well for her return and the Harvey team have an impeccable strike rate to uphold. PATAPUS continues to be savaged at the barrier draw. She is will run a race soon, if she draws. TRANSGRESSOR drops in grade and can lead or box seat from the gate. LIGHT THE FUSE has run some big races in her career and resumes fresh. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – AMELIE ARGOT WIN Race 8 MANKIND looks William Pike’s best ride on the card and if he can reproduce the turn of foot he showed down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra on debut should be awfully hard to hold out. ADAMUS did it tough and kept coming last start when winning a strong maiden. Looks the danger. WISE MONKEY gets back and winds up late for Noske. STARTTHEFRIAR showed ability as a 3 year old and may be worth following into the preparation. Numbers: 9 – 7 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – MANKIND WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,10,14 4,5,6 1,2,6,7,8,9 7,9 Market Market
