Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on July 22, 2025July 22, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 ROCK THEM JOOLS ran well first up, he’ll strip fitter and should settle better with blinkers off and a cross over nose band on. LEAVING LAS VEGAS chased bravely first up and will also strip fitter. PRINCESS PAINTON has been jumping out well enough to respect on debut. MINI ANGEL and JAMESJOHNO have claims. Selections: 5,4,10,9 Suggested Bet: Rock Them Jools each way Race 2 SALUTED should prove hard to catch. She’s been freshened and the form around her runs to date is quite strong. SHAHAR did enough without the clearest passage in a strong race on debut and should be improved by that outing. SHINJINA has been jumping out well and looks set to make her presence felt on debut. IDLEONBY and TIZ WORTHY are others with claims. Selections: 1,10,11,2 Suggested Bet: Saluted to win Race 3 KIKO races well here, should strike her preferred rain affected ground and has jumped out well between runs. SIOUX SPIRIT appreciated getting on wet ground last start and coming back to 1000m should be ok. TAKEKO is unbeaten first up and has jumped out in typically sharp fashion. A HIDDEN TREASURE has been kept fresh and races well under those circumstances. Selections: 1,3,2,7 Suggested Bet: Kiko each way Race 4 CINEMATIC STAR could be suited back to 1300m with blinkers on. Her stablemate, HERE THE CROWD, has been freshened and gets a claim for an in-form apprentice. SILVER CLIFF is fit and flying. CHOICE WITNESS and TANGO JEWEL are in the mix. Selections: 8,6,3,5 Suggested Bet: Cinematic Star each way Race 5 THE CUNNING FOX is mixing flat and jumps racing well and looks a good chance again in an even race. ROSSO will be close to peak fitness third up and may be the one with the most upside. DASHWOOD has been building nicely since joining the Alderson stable. SO SUAVE was scratched at the barriers since arriving in Victoria and adds some new blood. PIPLUP will be better for one run back under Mick Kent’s care. Selections: 2,5,1,7 Suggested Bet: The Cunning Fox each way Race 6 BUTTERNUT PRINCESS is racing well, she was brave on the Lakeside circuit last time an the form around her is solid. BETWICHERY is fit, I good form and Shin takes over. SILENT SHARES looks suited stepping up to 1400m. CHOCOLATE BOX has form that ties in with Butternut Princess and may be suited coming back to 1400m. Selections: 3,2,10,12 Suggested Bet: Butternut Princess each way Race 7 NEW SOVEREIGN looks promising and has been umping out well. A genuinely wet track could be some query but his upside is hard to overlook. CASTLE ON HIGH likes it wet and looked good winning first up for the new stable. SHINY NEW DEEL has been jumping out well and is another that handles wet ground well. IMPENDING LINK and VARANE are among the other hopes. Selections: 6,5,7,4 Suggested Bet: New Sovereign each way Race 8 SIR ATLAS was left with too much to do last time and may be better suited coming back to 1600m. FARNBOROUGH has returned well, his form ties in with BLACK STORM and both have strong winning chances. MAGARTEN and GEORGIE GET MAD have claims. Selections: 15,14,4,16 Suggested Bet: Sir Atlas each way Market Market
