Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on March 11, 2025March 11, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 HOT TOO GO did plenty of early work first up and stuck on ok. He’ll strip fitter and blinkers go back on. STEADFAST has had a gap between runs but shapes as the main danger on the strength of her latest run. That form ties in GLOBAL ECLIPSE, who tested Belle Detelle last start after Steadfast beat that galloper home on the Heath track. MISS ALEXIS had excuses in a leader dominated race last start and should appreciate a spacious track. Selections: 4,11,3,10 Suggested Bet: Hot Too Go To win Race 2 SISSTAINABLE has jumped out impressively to kick off her second prep after running well in a strong race on debut. SASSY ABBEY covered ground in a strong race at Canberra and the Bjorn Baker stable is airborne. CONSCIENCE has jumped out in good style with DONEBRAVO. FACILITATE will strip fitter for a solid debut. Selections: 6,9,5,1 Suggested Bet: Sisstainable each way Race 3 LAST DRUID will strip fitter for his first up run and his form when last in Melbourne reads well for this. WOLFLANDS is fit, consistent and this appears his preferred trip. SIMPLE TIMES and CASTELLAR have intertwining form and both have a case. ATLANTIC SPIRIT backs up quickly from her impressive first up win but has some upside. Selections: 8,1,3,2 Suggested Bet: Last Druid to win Race 4 MCKEYLA didn’t have the clearest passage behind a promising galloper in stronger company last start and her previous form is strong. DAELLA chased well behind a horse that has subsequently won in higher grade second up and will strip fitter. FLUENT has trialled well to return after showing talent in her first prep, including a debut win over Daella on the Ballarat synthetic track. FULLY CALCULATED was beaten by a progressive horse first up. ROSE DE VELLOR and MADAME MASERATI have both been jumping out ok to resume. Selections: 5,4,6,2 Suggested Bet: McKeyla each way Race 5 SHE’S A HUSTLER takes another rise in grade but looks destined for better races and should relish 1800m on a big track. TARVUE doesn’t want it too form but is another with some upside and was beaten by a promising stayer last time. MUPPET is racing in career bet form and closed off well over this course and distance last start. BLUSHING TYCOON can’t be improving at this stage of the campaign but continues to race well. FONTAINE ROUGE gives the impression she appreciate stepping up in distance. Selections: 7,9,10,1 Suggested Bet: She’s A Hustler to win Race 6 ZLOTIES is a second up winner and is sure to strip fitter after chasing well being a progressive mare fist up. STORMFRONT did plenty of work on the speed first up and battled on bravely under the circumstances. THAMES had some excuses when fav behind MAUI MAN, who also must have a case, first up. QUISEEN impressed winning second up and looks suited stepping up to 1300m on a spacious track. HALF YOURS’ best runs to date have been on soft ground but he’s jumped out well to resume for the new stable. Selections: 9,5,12,11 Suggested Bet: Zloties each way Race 7 HOLA AMIGOS has been just behind the placegetters at both his runs on the Hillside circuit and has been given a solid grounding to be tested at 1600m. TYPHOON HARMOMY is a winner here, he’s racing in good form and can make is own luck. FREIGHT TRAIN has some upside and has jumped out well to resume at a suitable trip. LAVALIER will strip fitter for his first up run on a relatively tight track and will appreciate the rise in distance on a more spacious circuit. AL DUCA is another that can make his own luck. Selections: 5,2,3,10 Suggested Bet: Hola Amigos each way Race 8 OUR QUEEN is building an impressive record. She did plenty of work at Moonee Valley second up, only to go down narrowly in a blanket finish. SUBRISING should be at peak fitness and ran well here last time. PINK CHANDON has the wide draw to contend with but chased well first up and Zloties will have provided a guide on that form in race six. CALLMEANICON has jumped out nicely to resume and will be charging late. FIASCO TESS has an awkward draw but gets a claim and the form though her last tun held up well at Flemington on Saturday Selections: 9,2,12,6 Suggested Bet: Our Queen to win Market Market
