Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on June 4, 2024June 4, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 FONTAINE ROUGE did a few things wrong as a short priced favourite on debut, following an impressive jumpout with subsequent debut winer Craig. She gets a few gear changes and is sure to be better for her debut run. RED GALAXY had also jumped out well leading into his encouraging debut and may control the speed. BUZZ CITY is fit and consistent, as is LOS ALAMOSS. Selections: 4,2,1,5 Suggested Bet: Fontaine Rouge to win Race 2 JUST FOR SHOW raced in slightly restricted room last time, the form around him is solid and 1400m should suit. WAR COUNCIL has had the benefit of a run at 1400m at maps well. GOLDEN WARRIOR impressed winning a modest maiden on the synthetic, he was well in the market when he had the bias against him at Warrnambool on debut. OMANYALA fought back strongly to win on debut and should appreciate the rise in trip. WINSTON has been jumping out well. Selections: 1,4,3,2 Suggested Bet: Just For Show each way Race 3 PATCHOULI DREAM stuck on well in a key lead up race and maps for a better run. ARIZONA ACTIVIST comes through that race, he will strip fitter third up and gets winkers back on. BLOWN AWAY ran strongly through the line win first up and will also strip fitter. HYPEMAN and REPRISAL are in the mix in an even race. Selections: 4,3,2,6 Suggested Bet: Patchouli Dream each way Race 4 NUSUMI has quickened nicely at her two runs to date and should be suited stepping up to 1600m. AMIZETTA controlled that race to break her maiden in good style last start and may get control again. SOMEBODYTOLOVE has been back to the jumpouts between runs and in another that looks suited stepping up to this trip. FURLANETTO is fit and racing well. PACIFIC CROSS worked through the line strongly last start and will strip fitter. Selections: 5,1,6,2 Suggested Bet: Nusumi each way Race 5 JAYKAYANN should be approaching peak fitness and looks well placed with the claim. PREFERENTIAL appreciated getting out to this distance range third up and can measure up to this stronger company HARD SQUEEZE races well here and will strip fitter for her fresh run over 1600m. DEROZARIO is racing well and maps for a good run. Selections: 1,6,2,8 Suggested Bet: Jaykayann to win Race 6 SHE’S A CON worked through the line strongly first up and appears well placed stepping up to 1600m. CHATELAINE did enough first up and may settle in a forward spot from a low draw. PITCHANUN will strip fitter for a couple of satisfactory runs, she drops in grade and gets B.Shinn. BINDING is an interesting runner for Lee Freedman, she brings solid Qld form and has been jumping out ok to resume. Selections: 3,2,6,1 Suggested Bet: She’s A Con each way Race 7 Another even race. CALICO JACK has returned in good form and will make his own luck. ANGRY SKIES has also returned well and gets the full claim for an in-form apprentice. RIPROAR had excuses last start and maps for a better run. FLY LIE hit the line well first up and Blown Away will provide a guide on that form in race three. GENERAL FIREPOWER is another than can make his own luck, he was no match for EL ROCKO last time, who would be favoured by any give in the ground. Selections: 2,1,7,9 Suggested Bet: Calico Jack each way Race 8 GRACIE’S RAIN may have peaked on her run in what should prove a good form race first up. OAK HILL has been kept fresh since his strong first up win and jumped out well between runs. EPIC CENTRE is better when he’s let run and may give them something to chase with visors going on. KIKO and CHEVAL CHIC are in the mix Selections: 13,7,1,10 Suggested Bet: Gracie’s Rain each way Market Market
