Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 4, 2024June 4, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SEAGRASS (1) has the lovely draw and is now third up into her preparation, she has good natural speed and it doesn’t appear to be a fast front line, she should lead, control and looks the hardest to beat. SWAGGER MAN (10) has picked up form recently and gets into this race well but he will need some luck which may not come from the barrier. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (11) has options from the draw but think they’ll go to the pegs and from there it looks like a good place chance if he can get clear. ABSOLUTE DELIGHT (6), THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (8) & LETS ROCK TONIGHT (12) can run into the money but all would want the breeze position and only one can get it and I think it will most likely be the 6. Tips: 1 10 11 6 Suggested Bet: SEAGRASS (1) to win. Race 2 TUALOU (8) was brilliant in his first win at Pinjarra, rating 1.55.3 and did it easy, looks well placed to be winning again. BETTORORWORSE (4) has been unlucky as of late and has the draw advantage to get into a handy position. CHACO EAGLE (5) is freshened up for this and looks a nice type to run into the money. THE WAND WAVER (6) & LORD PUBLISHER (7) best of the rest. Tips: 8 4 5 6 Suggested Bet: TUALOU (8) to win. Race 3 YANKEE LINCOLN (1) looks the leader in this and this is much more suitable, he was belted from pillar to post last time he led and this looks a bit easier, expecting him to give a bold sight. CHAMPAGNE STYLE (5) has come back well and has good closing speed, expecting a strong performance in this. MEGA MACH (2) drawn to get a good run and can run into the money. MANIFESTLY EXCESIV (3) returns off the back of hard-fought trial win, stable is racing well too. LUCKY GALLEON (6) has always been a horse who mixes his form, he is capable but happy to watch him in this and get an assessment of where he is at. Tips: 5 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: CHAMPAGNE STYLE (5) each way. Race 4 WHOS THE DAD (4) was solid in his return run at Pinjarra last Monday, this looks a suitable grade for him and he should have benefitted nicely from the run, hard to beat. AMERICAN MONARCH (1) has options from the draw, she was unlucky last time out and can run into the money again along with stablemate EYE BETTER (3) who continues to perform well. TORREVEAN AMY (2) returns and has a lovely draw can mix in with the novelties with CAVALRY CALL (5) who went well on Friday after things didn’t go right early and the in form AMERICAN BULLIT (7) who will need the pace on. Tips: 4 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (4) to win. Race 5 RAKERO RAIDER (1) has been racing with wonderful consistency and gets a great opportunity here to break through, looks the leader in a race with only average gate speed runners drawn out wider and from there he can get the win. LUKE ATTACK (10) is not the quickest horse away but with a moderate front line I think he will hold the back of the top pick here and from there looks a good chance. ROAD CLOSURE (11) will be better suited to being driven cold, will be running on strongly over the longer trip. CAMS BOULDER (6), TRIROYALE BRIGADE (8) and BALTIC ACE (12) look the best of the rest. Tips: 1 10 11 8 Suggested Bet: RAKERO RAIDER (1) to win. Race 6 CATCH THE RED EYE (7) has been very impressive in her two runs for new trainer Chris Voak, she has an abundance of early speed and I can see her spearing to the top here and being very hard to beat. WALL STREET GIRL (1) was a good win on Friday night but this is trickier as she isn’t the quickest beginner, being over the middle distance will suit and she can still perform strongly if crossed. SECRET REACTION (5) will likely roll the arm and could cross early, has options and has returned well. LADY VALASCA (6) did too much work last start and was found wanting late, can see her running home well in this. Tips: 7 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: CATCH THE RED EYE (7) to win. Race 7 CEE DEE THREE (2) was impressive on Saturday night when placed at Bunbury, he made a run 3 wide in a wind assisted quick third quarter but still fought it out strongly, has good natural gate speed and looks likely to lead and give them something to catch. ROLLYOUROWN (5) has improved as of late, he will be closing off strongly. VEEFORVICTORY (1) has the lovely draw and can figure into the placings from there. SPINNER OF YARNS (4) trialled up well enough to run into the money here. VISITING HOURS (3) and BELLE LIVIA STAR (6) not without their chances either. Tips: 2 5 1 4 Suggested Bet: CEE DEE THREE (2) to win. Race 8 PRINCESS KATIE (2) drops in grade nicely and looks to get a good opportunity here, very hard to beat if she can find the top. DEKLA DIVA (1) holds the key to the race off the inside, she has come back okay, placings in recent runs suggests she is improving. SHES A MARE (7) was a nice win on Sunday, on the quick backup here and she has good closing speed, expecting her to run on well. PRINCESS MICKAYLA (3) has shown ability but does mix her form, she is a novelty chance along with STELLAR EDITION (8) who has elevated recently. Tips: 2 1 7 3 Suggested Bet: SHES A MARE (7) each way. Race 9 WATCH ME WAVE (6) has been a bit costly to me and the punters lately but when doing the form for this race, she looks the stand out on top selection again. She has high speed and with a smallish field she looks hard to hold out and has strings to her bow. Give her another chance. SHES A DACTYL (1) is a 40 start maiden who hit the line well on Sunday in slow time, gate speed is a query but can run well here. ESCAPEFROMREALITY (7) is coming out of winning a maiden and doing so well, she has good early speed and can get into a handy position. SASSY DANCER (2) sprinted up well but weakened just as quick last run, better suited to this grade and can improve. Tips: 6 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: WATCH ME WAVE (6) to win. Market Market
