Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on November 15, 2022November 15, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 LADY JONES has shown plenty in her first racing prep. She had to endure a wide run at stakes level last start after testing Quang Tri at her previous start. RIVERPLATE has also been competitive in races much stronger than maiden grade and has jumped out well to resume. ONLY HUMAN is another that should progress well beyond this grade, he’s been jumping out nicely. KING NEPTUNE backs up quickly and looks suited by the rise in trip. SASSOLINO and KING’S TAJ have claims. Selections: 16,4,3,7 Suggested Bet: Lady Jones each way Race 2 THE UNICORN won well with blinkers applied last start after a solid debut. She will make her won luck and no reason to doubt her at 1400m. STREET DELIGHT maps for a good run behind the speed. BELMIA was responsible for an outstanding debut victory, storming home after showing no early pace. You’d think she’d relish 1400m. SWEET AND SPICY hit the line well over 1200m last start and also looks suited at this trip. NAICONI looks the other key hope. Selections: 5,6,2,7 Suggested Bet: The Unicorn to win Race 3 Hard not to be impressed with the debut win of TASMAN PARK. He still looks a bit raw but has plenty of talent and 1300m should suit at this stage. FROSTICK ran well first up, without much luck. OBFUSCATION my not have been in the best ground last time, back up in trip should suit. MORPHEUS BRAGI broke his maiden in good style last start after an encouraging debut. ESTILLED looks to have returned well. Stablemates VELOCE CARRO and ADAMENT are in the mix. Selections: 1,5,3,6 Suggested Bet: Tasman Park to win Race 4 KAITUKU ran well second up in the Ararat Cup and looks suited by the drop in grade and the rise in distance. PLATINUM SPIRIT rises in grade but looks capable of measuring up after getting out to a suitable trip last start. BAZINI is a genuine stayer, his first up run was solid and he’ll appreciate stepping up in trip. BOTTI’S NZ form should measure up and he gets some weight relief after the claim. DAHWILLY is fit and racing well. Selections: 5,7,2,1 Suggested Bet: Kaituku to win Race 5 SAVAGAL worked home well during the carnival at Flemington and looks suited by the rise in distance. MY ROCK ALY raced in restricted room at Flemington, she also looks suited by a rise in trip. DELTA TANGO was held up at a crucial stage at Moonee Valley, she gets blinkers on and hit the line strongly when she got clear. PEARL RAIN got the dream run to win the race Delta Tango comes through. PITCHANUN, WINIFER and MORNINGTON MASK have claims. Selections: 12,8,7,2 Suggested Bet: Savagal each way Race 6 Tough race. SKIDMARINK looked strong winning first up over 1100m and should be suited stepping up to 1300m. SHEZA MARVEL covered additional ground and showed good fight to win on debut. EVERGLADE disappointed last start but her debut win was impressive, a heavy track may be a negative. ALWAYS IN MOMENT was given a solid hit out winning a recent jumpout. GABSTAR has also been jumping out well. LA ZUCCA, PLAYING IT SAFE and SHEZ STEAMIN’ are all hopes in a deep race. Selections: 12,11,8,1 Suggested Bet: Skidmarink each way Race 7 RICK’S CAFE looked good winning a similar race last start. She should strip even fitter and Carleen Hefel can utilise her claim here. SECRET GLAMOUR ran well first up, she needs another win but has been competitive in stronger races. HEAVENLY EAGLE was well backed but no match for Rick’s Cafe last start, he maps for a good run. REIGATE was also well backed last start, he might be looking for 1600m now. RELIABLE DUDE could be ready to improve third up. Selections: 13,7,8,9 Suggested Bet: Rick’s Cafe each way Race 8 Even race but FREEDOM ESCAPE has been trialling and jumping out well to resume and seems big odds in early markets. ULTIMATE KISS will strip fitter third up and looks suited stepping up to 1400m. TYPICAL YOU impressed breaking his maiden last start and has upside. BREAKING GROUND pulled up with a heart irregularity last start following his impressive maiden victory, he’s jumped out ok since. SUPARAZI had no luck last start and backs up quickly. UNFAIR DISMISSAL did enough first up and has a chance at odds. Selections: 4,9,13,12 Suggested Bet: Freedom Escape each way Market Market
