Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Caulfield Preview Posted on April 16, 2024April 16, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 RICH DOTTIE impressed winning her most recent jumpout and looks hard to beat on debut. CENTRE SQUARE resumes gelded and has also jumped out well. HARPALEE looked good winning two starts back and appears suited coming back to 1000m. GRINZINGER LOVE, SOUK and MISS ARCHIBALD have claims. Selections: 11,8,7,6 Suggested Bet: Rich Dottie to win Race 2 HERE THE CROWD will be better for her debut when she was grabbed late after hitting the front in the home straight and looks set for a similar run. TI TREE LAD has jumped out nicely to kick off his second prep, as has LUNARSHOT. TELESCOPE is race fit and will give a sight. Selections: 6,3,7,8 Suggested Bet: Here The Crowd to win Race 3 INEXORABLE may have found the track too wet as a short priced favourite last start, he swaps winkers for blinkers and his previous run behind Fistoffury reads well for this. MOHNAR did some early work second up in a strong maiden and stuck on well under the circumstances. LINAS REEL worked home well in the same race as Mohnar and can settle closer from a low draw. EXPEETEE hit the line strongly first up and will appreciate the extra distance. Selections: 4,9,5,7 Suggested Bet: Inexorable to win Race 4 TOGETHERFOREVER dominated a modest maiden last start but her previous for was solid and she may be best suited staying at 1000m. EXCESS drops un grade and her form away from the Flemington straight track is good for this. MORPHEUS BRAGI is unknown at 1000m but has jumped out in sharp fashion, as has JEWEL BAY. MEETMEINMELBOURNE may be better suited dropping back to 1000m. CALICO JACK is another that has trialled well and resumes for the new stable. Selections: 10,9,3,2 Suggested Bet: Together Forever to win Race 5 BONNIE AMORE ran well at the first meeting here and has been kept fresh for this. CELESTIAL STORM drops in grade and should be suited by a solid tempo coming back to 1000m. UNLIMITED MAGIC and MILLIONDOLLARMUMMA have both jumped out well to resume. NOKHBAH gets a tongue tie and will be part of the speed. Selections: 8,1,7,6 Suggested Bet: Bonnie Amore each way Race 6 FRAGILE LOVE had the race shape against her second up and can settle closer from the inside draw. LIGHT WISH was brilliant winning on debut over 1000m, she now has to stretch out to 1200m and rise in grade but has obvious upside. SHE’S BULLETPROOF ran well, albeit no match for a smart galloper last time and has jumped out nicely since. SMART DEEL has impressed in easier company at her two runs for the new stable and appears capable of measuring up. Selections: 1,5,3,4 Suggested Bet: Fragile Love each way Race 7 AZTEC STATE closed of well first up and looks well placed stepping up to 1600m. THE CREATOR was able to get his preferred position on speed last start and seems set for a similar run. GWAN SO is likely to also be part of the speed and drops in grade with a claim. HEED THE OMENS and HIGH FIVE won their respective maidens in good style at their last starts and have claims. Selections: 6,3,1,9 Suggested Bet: Aztec State each way Race 8 BAVICIA has had excuses at his last couple and looks well placed dropping in grade. ARTZINO improved nicely second up and shapes a strong danger stepping up to 1800m. UMETINI gives the impression this trip will be ok and maps for a soft run. GOTTABESAVVY and FRIDAY AT FIVE come through the same race at Ballarat and are both in the mix. TOLPUDDLE beat Bavicia here two starts back, so must have a case. Selections: 4,8,11,6 Suggested Bet: Bavicia to win Market Market
