Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Bendigo Preview Posted on October 31, 2023October 31, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 ALECTRONA has the early speed to take advantage of the inside draw and the form around her is strong. IGNACIO was a little luckless behind Skybird first up. He’s jumped out well since and Skybird has made that form look outstanding. BODHISATTVA would’ve won with any luck when he didn’t get clear as an odds on favourite first up. LAMBAY was well supported on debut and looks suited out to 1400m on a spacious track. VICTORY COMMAND has claims. Selections: 11,2,1,9 Suggested Bet: Alectrona to win Race 2 PERSIAN SPIRIT had no luck on debut and the stretched out well to break through at his second start. SCULLY won well with blinkers applied last start and maps for a good run. RAVALLI was well ridden to break through last time and can measure up to this slightly stronger company. MAGIC MOGUL drops in grade after winning his maiden in impressive style two starts back. ARIZONA ACTIVIST is in the mix. Selections: 3,6,4,2 Suggested Bet: Persian Spirit to win Race 3 HAROLD THE GREAT will strip fitter third up and looks suited at 2400m after making a sweeping run at Kyneton last start. SCAMSTER didn’t have the best of luck at his latest run and is racing well for the new stable. MOGADISHU won a modest maiden in dominant style last start but looks a stayer with some promise. HAARACAINE also broke through in impressive style last time and should appreciate the rise in trip. CADBURY CASTLE, SMOKIN’ PRINCESS and MOPURGO have a case. Selections: 7,11,10,5 Suggested Bet: Harold the Great each way Race 4 LADY ADELAIDE battled on bravely after working on the speed last time and will strip fitter third up. BIG BREW has been up for a while but continues to race well. TIDAL FORCE had the race shape to suit to get past Lady Adelaide last start and must have a case. ANGIY SKIES was below his best last start but his previous form reads well for this. MAKUSHA has returned in good form and is in the game on his home track. Selections: 7,3,5,2 Suggested Bet: Lady Adelaide each way Race 5 VOLPE RISORSA has trialled well since her first up win and Ollie sticking is a plus. MATERIAL DREAMS is unbeaten to date and has been given a fairly quiet time in jumpouts to prepare for her first up run. LE REACH will make her own luck and tested River Noire last start. MOTITSI races well here and will be strong late. Selections: 6,8,10,9 Suggested Bet: Volpe Risorsa each way Race 6 RICH FORTUNE looks well placed as a Group 3 winner resuming in a BM78. She’s jumped out well and has performed well at her two first up runs to date. STORMBOLT shapes as the main danger, he’ll strip fitter second up and will make his own luck. FORTUNATE KISS has been luckless in much stronger races and has jumped out well to resume. LUNA CAT is race fit and had excuses last time. Selections: 2,7,8,11 Suggested Bet: Rich Fortune to win Race 7 Competitive race with a decent field size. HEZASHOCKA comes through a strong Group 1 WFA race and can settle closer from a favorable draw. INTERPRETATION needs an Australian victory but was luckless in the Bart Cummings at his latest run. SUIZURO won the Moe Cup in strong fashion and has been placed in an ATC Derby at this trip. LUNCIES will strip fitter and is suited steeping up in distance. PESTO showed some tactical versatility to win last start. Selections: 2,7,8,1 Suggested Bet: Hezashocka each way Race 8 JIMMYSSTAR is one of the more intriguing runners of the day. His NZ form is solid and he looked sharp in a recent jumpout for the new stable. TREPORTI races well over this track/distance and will strip fitter second up. THE PRODIGAL SON is building a handy record and covered ground last time. ADANDIMAN and GENERAL FIREPOWER have been jumping out well to resume. Selections: 8,1,6,3 Suggested Bet: Jimmysstar to win Race 9 SUPRARZI was below his best down the straight last start but his previous form is strong and blinkers come off. DASHING will strip fitter third up and will settle closer with a clean get away. BELTHIL won well last start after covering ground first up. IS IT ME has obvious upside and will strip fitter second up. DEEKAY comes through the Belthil race and should settle better third up. Selections: 4,3,7,14 Suggested Bet: Suparazi each way Market Market
