Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Bendigo Preview Posted on October 25, 2022October 25, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SONGMAN is unknown on heavy ground but he worked home well on debut and looks suited stepping up in trip on a spacious track. TASMAN PARK looked good winning a recent jumpout. FUTURISTIC has also jumped out quite well and wears blinkers on debut. GENTLE WHISPER and FELINAE have jumped out ok to make their debuts for a top local stable on Cup Day. Selections: 2,3,7,11 Suggested Bet: Working around 2 & 3 Race 2 ZAMBORGHINI is the key runner. He comes through the best form lines and the drop back in trip looks suitable. His stablemate COUNT OF TOULOUSE, has winning form and handled soft ground well two starts back. Plenty of other last start winners bringing different form lines with, UNSEEN RULER, DEEKAY, OSCAR BRAVO and VELOCE CARRO all in the mix in an intriguing race. STREET DELIGHT can improve dropping in grade. Selections: 1,2,5,4 Suggested Bet: Zamborghini to win Race 3 OUTBACK JACK looks hard to beat backing up and dropping in grade. DONATRICE was far too good in an easier race last start but is well up to this grade. BORDER LEICESTER didn’t have the best of luck last start and will be strong late coming back in trip on testing ground. SABRE ATHENA was big odds winning an easier race in dominant fashion last start and there’s already winning form out of that race WHIRLY JIG rises significantly in trip but he’s a dour type and seems to handle wet ground well. Selections: 3,8,4,14 Suggested Bet: Outback Jack to win Race 4 NEVERSTANDINGSTILL was noted as being on the wrong leg at Caulfield last start and her previous form was hard to fault. She goes well here and is comfortable on rain affected ground. MARITANA had a bit against him at Moonee Valley and drops in grade. ROCK ARTIST was poor last start but he likes it well and drops significantly in grade. OVERKILL rises in grade but will make his own luck and has returned in great form. DEEVINE should get a soft run behind the speed. WHOZYADEELER has trialled ok for the new local stable. Selections: 4,1,3,2 Suggested Bet: Neverstandingstill to win Race 5 OBFUSCATION was a touch disappointing at short odd last start. He’s been freshened and looks well placed coming back in distance. EL SALTO didn’t have the best of luck last start and was good here in a similar race prior to that. ZOUTONS was confidently backed to win an easier race first up and you’d think this race would be a target on his home track on Cup Day. HAY CLIFFY goes well on his home track and also won an easier race in good style last start. Selections: 11,3,7,1 Suggested Bet: Obfuscation to win Race 6 LA ZUCCA covered ground last start and is unbeaten on heavy ground. MERLIN’S CHARM is building an impressive record, she chased well first up and should appreciate the rise in trip. AIR DEFENCE wasn’t beaten that far last start and should get a good run. DREAMS AND SCHEMES gets blinkers back on third up. He had the race shape against him last time, as did VAN ROY in the same race. SECRET GLAMOUR has jumped out ok and has a touch of class. Selections: 11,7,6,8 Suggested Bet: La Zucca each way Race 7 HIGH EMOCEAN comes through the Bart Cummings last start and that form reads very well following the performances of Francesco Guardi and Lunar Flare at Moonee Valley last Saturday. PORT PHILIP has found some great form since joining the Sandhu stable. This is his toughest test to date but he loves wet ground and stays down in the weights. CRYSTAL PEGASUS drops back from Group 1 company but is some query on heavy ground, as is GLINT OF HOPE, who should be at peak fitness now. Selections: 3,7,1,2 Suggested Bet: High Emocean to win Race 8 FALLS creates interest on the back up and dropping in grade. He’s comfortable on rain affected ground and it would be no surprise to see him ridden positively. BARRETTA did enough first up and will appreciate the rise in trip. ZOUMON has been given some solid jumpouts to be ready first up and handles wet ground well. OCEAN CHIEF comes through the same race as Barretta first up can be forgiven after a tough run. SHULTZY is in career best form. Selections: 1,6,3,7 Suggested Bet: Falls each way Race 9 TOREGENE is short enough in early markets but she’s building an impressive record and won with a bit of authority first up. POLANCO raced well without much luck through winter. This looks a suitable race for him after a little freshen. DROP THE MIC, REAL SENSATION and OUR LONE STAR all ran well in the same race at Caulfield and are in the mix. SHARP RESPONSE had the pattern against him first up at Moonee Valley and will strip fitter. Selections: 11,1,9,3 Suggested Bet: Toregene to win Market Market
