NINEVEH ran well on debut and the form around out of the race has proved strong. ISTHMUS could be the pick of the debutantes, but most have shown something. DEVILS DELIGHT has jumped out nicely to resume gelded. Selections: 1,9,11,3 Suggested Bet: Plenty to learn Race 2 CASTILLIAN may be looking for further but will strip fitter third up and may settle closer from the draw. MR MOJO RISIN’ can be slowly away but his first up win in NZ was impressive and the form around him is strong. DEEKAY will make his own luck on speed. EYE OF THE EAGLE, PRIVATE JUMBO and HELL HATH NO FURY are in the mix. Selections: 2,3,5,7 Suggested Bet: Castillian each way Race 3 ARKTIKA is generally effective first up and has jumped out in good style to resume. PARTY FOR ONE doesn’t run poorly but her winning strike rate is some concern, maybe 1400m will suit. CUBAN LINK covered ground first up in the same race as Party for One. STAR OF CHAOS comes through that race too and will make her own luck, she gets down in the weights after the claim. Selections: 13,9,10,14 Suggested Bet: Arktika each way Race 4 FRENCH EMEPROR has jumped out well to resume and his form since joining the stable is hard to fault. ALTIVO has obvious upside, he can be a touch slowly away but has jumped out in good style since arriving in Melbourne. TYPHOON HARMONY improved back on drier ground last time. AESOP has jumped out nicely to resume and is a multiple first up winner and has claims if he gains a start. FLASH FEELING can improve second up. Selections: 2,17,6,19 Suggested Bet: French Emperor each way Race 5 A few fit and inform gallopers at the top of the wights look the main hopes in an even contest. EL SOLEADO coped well with the rise in grade last time and 1600m looks well within his scope. LETHAL THOUGHTS comes through some key form races and the form around him lines up well. RUSSIAN DANCER and TORONTO TERRIER have intertwining form, leaning to Russian Dancer at 1600m. Selections: 4,2,1,3 Suggested Bet: Working around 4,2,1 & 3 Race 6 D’JUMBUCK has found his niche as a stalking 1200m sprinter and this race sets up well for him again. His jumpout between runs was typically good. IT’SOURTIME is a consistent sprinter who’s effective down the straight, Sessions Road ties in his form with D’Jumbuck. SHE’S ALL CLASS looks the other key winning hope. BUFFALO RIVER is probably disadvantaged dropping back to 1200m but gave an indication of a return to form last start. Selections: 4,5,2,1 Suggested Bet: D’Jumbuck to win Race 7 WHITE MARLIN may not have been best suited dropping back slightly in trip second up and this has been his short term target for quite a while. Expect a more aggressive ride and he should relish the rise in trip. HEZASCOCKA is in great form and was almost rewarded for a proactive in the Mornington Cup. LUNAR FLARE and EL PATRONESS have strong claims, both have jumped out nicely since their most recent runs. VOW AND DECLARE the other main hope. Selections: 10,3,17,18 Suggested Bet: White Marlin to win Race 8 Even race. KING MAGNUS ran well first up off a long break and will strip fitter. OUTLAWS REVENGE is unknown at 1400m and has the wide draw to contend with but there looks reasonable speed which may allow him to slot in. MORVADA will be part of the speed and should be close to peak fitness. IMPERIAL LAD will also be on speed, with Sheridan Clarke likely to take two of her available three kilo claim. CROSSHAVEN races well here, he’s fit and consistent and the claim is a plus. Selections: 4,7,8,9 Suggested Bet: King Magnus each way Race 9 MIDTOWN BOSS is a lightly raced galloper with upside, his two recent jumpouts have been encouraging for his return. AIRMAN is another with obvious upside and he’s jumped out well since arriving in Melbourne. HARD TO CROSS has had the benefit of four recent jumpouts and appears to be going well, he should be charging late. WHO DARES may be better on rain affected ground but wouldn’t expect anything firmer than a good 4 here, which should be ok. Selections: 9,2,11,18 Suggested Bet: Midtown Boss each way Market Market
