She’s effective first up, handles the straight well and has been jumping out nicely without her race day blinkers. SNAPPED has had excuses at her last couple and has had a tick over jumpout between runs. FORTUNATE KISS gets winkers and a tongue tie on, she has been competitive in much stronger company and is another to jump out well recently. SERADESS has to shoulder plenty of weight but is building a good record and looked sharp in a recent jumpout. DUCHESS OF DORSET looks the other main hope. Selections: 4,9,7,1 Suggested Bet: Veranskova to win Race 2 HELL QUEEN broke through in strong fashion last start and her previous run down the straight reads well. BOSSY NIC recorded some good late sectionals after being slowly away on debut. TREASUREWAY has run well at all her runs to date and has straight track experience. AMAZONIAN LASS fought well to win on debut and has jumped out nicely since arriving at Flemington. CELESTAIL STORM and COAST PRINCESS have claims. Selections: 2,9,6,4 Suggested Bet: Hell Queen each way Race 3 KETTLE HILL has been a little frustrating since his eye-catching Australian debut but he may be suited getting out to 2000m. SPARKLE finished behind Kettle Hill two starts back but she has since won at this trip and gats the benefit of a claim. SUMMERBEEL backs up and will make her own luck. TYCOON BEC and HASSELTOFF have a case. Selections: 5,2,9,3 Suggested Bet: Kettle Hill each way Race 4 THE BOPPER comes through what may be the key lead up race for the TJ Smith and he was far from disgraced. KALLOS resumed gelded with a strong win over this course and distance and should strip fitter. CURRAN hasn’t won for a while but he rarely runs poorly and has jumped out in great style. ON THE LEAD chased strongly behind Kallos last start and must be included. D’JUMBUCK has been flying down the straight over 1200m recently and will be strong late. Selections: 2,1,5,3 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 2,1,5 & 3 Race 5 SO UNUSUAL can’t be improving but overcame difficulties to win last start and deserves a crack at a race like this. GOLDMAN has been dominating easier races in NSW and will make his own luck. SWORDS DRAWN won well at Moonee Valley at his latest run and worked strongly though the line in a recent jumpout to keep him up to the mark. SOULCOMBE could hardly have been more impressive over this course and distance at his Australian debut and has had excuses at his two recent Sydney runs. ALEGRON worked through the line well first up and will be suited by the rise in trip. Selections: 9,10,3,5 Suggested Bet: So Unusual each way Race 6 Terrific race with a couple of real up and comers. BENEDETTA looks highly promising, her win down the straight was recorded in fast time and she appears destined for much better races. With any luck from the inside draw she’ll take a power of beating. WHAT YOU NEED also impressed winning down the straight last start, the stable indicated he would benefit from the run but he still produced some impressive late sectionals. RICH FORTUNE has been kept fresh since her latest run, her previous two runs saw her produce impressive bursts of acceleration. RENOSU is proven down the straight and won well after covering ground second up. Selections: 10,8,9,4 Suggested Bet: Benedetta to win Race 7 Competitive contest. NONCONFORMIST has been prepared with this race in mind and won the Blamey in good style first up. His Group 1 form at 2000m through Anamoe and Probabeel is strong. CASCADIAN is another proven Group 1 performer, he has run well here over 2000m when backing up previously. MO’UNGA was safely held in Sydney last week but his overall Group 1 form is solid. VIRTUOUS CIRCLE takes on the older horses but will appreciate 2000m and has a bright future. RIGHT YOU ARE is fit and flying. STEINEM and BANK MAUR are in the mix. Selections: 4,1,3,16 Suggested Bet: Nonconformist each way Race 8 CARDINAL GEM didn’t have the best of luck first up, he should strip fitter and appreciate the rise to 1400m. DAYTONA BAY maps for a good run, he’s been freshened and drops in grade. PINSTRIPED did enough first up in the same race as Cardinal Gem, he looked to peak on his run and will also strip fitter. EL ROCKO should be approaching peak fitness third up and chased strongly in the Echuca Cup. Selections: 4,14,3,15 Suggested Bet: Cardinal Gem each way Race 9 TREPORTI closed of well in the Magic Millions race at Murray Bridge, he’s a second up winner and his most recent straight runs behind Star Patrol, Passive Aggressive and Snapper read well for this. He’d be marginal top pick if he gains a start. MY YANKEE GIRL has trialled well since pulling up with a degree of lameness last start. MISS MIDDLE PARK is racing in great form, she was no match for ANILLA when they last met down the straight but appears to have improved since then. Anilla hade no luck two starts back and may be better suited back to 1200m with blinkers on. Selections: 17,3,15,11 Suggested Bet: Treporti each way Market Market
