Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on September 9, 2022September 9, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Deep race with some promising types and plenty of chances. BUENOS NOCHES struck severe interference in the home straight last start. STUPENDO is a straight track winner and has been jumping out well leading into his first up run. DOULL is also a straight track winner and has jumped out in good style for his return. ALPHA ONE is racing in great form and will give them something to chase. BRERETON, EL PADRINO, SPACEWALK and ZOU SENSATION are among the other hopes. Selections: 12,5,6,4 Suggested Bet: Buenos Noches each way Race 2 ZEYREK had been trialling well leading into his first up run and was solid through the line at WFA and get winkers on. He will appreciate the rise in trip and getting back to handicap conditions. SIR DAVY raced well through the Winter Championship series and has jumped out nicely between runs. HEZASHOCKA has been kept fresh for the drop back in distance. LYRICAL LAD is some query beyond 1600m but is racing well and seems to appreciate having his runs spaced. ADELAIDE ACE hit the line well is takes grade last start. Selections: 8,10,13,12 Suggested Bet: Zeyrek each way Race 3 GHANAATI impressed winning down the straight on debut and has jumped out nicely recently. OJAI didn’t have much luck in the Quezette and has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. NANAGUI is promising and there was plenty of merit in her last start victory against the track pattern of the day. MISS ROSIEANO was another that didn’t have much luck in the Quezette and has been given a solid hit out in a jumpout since that run. ENGLISH RIVIERA and BUBBLE PALACE has looked good winning recent jumpouts. Selections: 7,6,11,3 Suggested Bet: Win bets Ghanaati and Ojai Race 4 EL ROCKO has returned gelded in great form and was held up at a crucial stage last start. His previous run behind Military Expert looks a strong form line. BERMADEZ is a beauty first up and has been jumping out quite well. SCALLOPINI drops back from group company and maps for a good run. PINSTIPED has plenty of upside and has been jumping out nicely to resume. CHARTRES will strip fitter and will appreciate the step up to 1400m. Selections: 16,8,3,10 Suggested Bet: El Rocko each way Race 5 Not a lot of obvious speed with ALLIGATOR BLOOD likely to control the tempo. I’M THUNDERSTUCK recorded some impressive late sectionals in the Memsie first up and looks well suited stepping up to 1600m. From the inside draw he may not get too far back. ALLIGATOR BLOOD was held up in the home straight in the Memsie and although the affected margin it is hard to quantify, he should’ve finished much closer. CASCADIAN was another to finish off strongly in the Memsie and will appreciate the rise to 1600m. WESTERN EMPIRE did enough in the Memsie and is also suited by the rise in trip. Selections: 1,4,2,7 Suggested Bet: I’m Thunderstruck to win Race 6 INTERPRETATION boasts some strong international form lines and ran well at his first Australian start. He gets out to what should be a more suitable trip with blinkers and a tongue tie applied. POINT NEPEAN is a promising stayer who has been racing through the grades in good style. MOHICAN HEIGHTS backs up and after a slow get away was out of play early last week. HORRIFYING has found some winning form and has tactical versatility. THROUGH IRISH EYES has been close up behind Horrifying and Point Nepean in his recent runs. Selections: 4,3,9,5 Suggested Bet: Interpretation each way Race 7 FLYING MASCOT is a high class mare who ran well first up. She may be better suited settling a pair or so further back and will appreciate the step up to 1400m. KISSONALLFORCHEEKS comes through the same form line and finished ahead of Flying Mascot. She shapes as a strong danger, will also appreciate the rise in trip, but may need a touch of luck from the draw. I AM BENE won an easier race in impressive style last start and can measure up. FOXY FRIDA has jumped out nicely and will be strong late. FORTUNATE KISS will strip fitter. LADY OF HONOUR will make her own luck. Selections: 6,5,14,10 Suggested Bet: Flying Mascot each way Race 8 STAGEMAN chased well first up. He has jumped out nicely between runs and gets blinkers back on. SWATS THAT resumes for a new stable, she has performed well down the straight without winning and has been trialling in typically good style to resume. SIRUIS SUSPECT and THE ASTOLOGIST are both proven straight track performers. ROCH ‘N’ HORSE ran well first up and won the Newmarket at her last straight run. VERANSKOVA won an easier race in good style last start and looks progressive. SHOOTING OR GOLD may be better for his first straight run two starts back. Selections: 8,12,4,7 Suggested Bet: Stageman each way Race 9 Tough race. TIJUANA finsished strongly after being slowly way first up and is a winner here at 1400m second up. LET’SROLLTHE DICE ran well against the pattern of the day first up over 1200m at Moonee Valley. FOUJITA SAN comes through the same race as Let’srollthedice, he also ran well after being slowly away. BERKELEY SQUARE showed some versatility last start and is one of a number of promising galopers in the field. OSIPENKO is right in the mix if he races here. FAST WITNESS, HE’S HEAVEN, ELLIPTICAL and CADAZIO all have claims. Selections: 3,1,11,6 Suggested Bet: Tijuana each way Market Market
