Warren Huntly’s Saturday Bendigo Preview Posted on April 12, 2024April 12, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 DIVIS ROMULUS takes another rise in grade but shapes as a stayer on his way to better races. HAALAND is racing in good from and seems to be best suited around this trip. ROARING ENGINE has been kept fresh since a solid run in Adelaide Cup. PRISMATIC will appreciate getting out to a true staying trip. Selections: 14,15,9,7 Suggested Bet: Divus Romulus to win Race 2 BOLD BASTILLE looks the one to beat at shorts odds. She’s suited by the weight conditions and dropping back to 1000m should be no issue. COSMIC RIDE has jumping out in great style for her debut. HERASTAR hit the line strongly to win a listed race in Adelaide on debut. HARPALEE appears suited coming back to 1000m. Selections: 4,10,5,6 Suggested Bet: Bold Bastille to win Race 3 PRESSER has been most effective first up in his career to date and has been jumping out well to resume. ELECTRIC IMPULSE has similar first up credentials and has also been jumping out in good style. Any rain would be a bonus for her. MANSIERE is racing in good form and is giving the impression 1300m will be ok. BRAZEN LADY did enough first up and maps for a good run. INTREPID EAGLE is among the other chances and gets blinkers back on. Selections: 5,8,15,14 Suggested Bet: Presser each way Race 4 SUNSOURCE has jumped out in good fashion since his first up run and the form through that race has held up well. GOLDENSTATEWARRIOR has been jumping out impressively for his local debut. COCO SUN rises in grade and takes on the boys but has a touch of class and gets down in the weights after the claim. TOMMY has trialled well and is unbeaten first up to date. Selections: 13,11,16,2 Suggested Bet: Sunsource each way Race 5 Good race but MOBY DICK is hard to overlook. He’s been visually impressive in his two wins to date and the times are there to confirm the merit of those performances. EXTEMELY ROWDY is promising and has been jumping out in great style to resume. SKYBIRD created a huge impression in her first prep ending with a Group 1 placing. She’s been jumping out well and is sure to be charging home. SHESALLSHENANIGANS will strip fitter and races loves it here. Selections: 10,7,1,2 Suggested Bet: Moby Dick to win Race 6 GARZA BLANCA needs a few things to go right but the speed looks solid and the spacious circuit looks suitable for him to be hitting the line strongly. BOLDINHO has been holding his form well and doesn’t look badly treated after the claim. IS IT ME has been kept fresh for this and is another that will be strong late. WOLFLANDS, RED HOT NICC and COLSRIDGE are among the other chances in a deep race. Selections: 7,1,12,10 Suggested Bet: Garza Blanca each way Race 7 Competitive mares race. LADY JONES ran well in a strong race first up nd looks suited stepping up to 1400m from a good draw. PAPILLON CLUB also ran well first up and will appreciate the extra 200m. BELLE ET RICHE has retuned in good form and has the benefit of a run over 1400m, she may just need some luck from the inside draw. FIRE OF ETNA and MARBLE ARCH have claims. Selections: 10,3,7,9 Suggested Bet: Lady Jones each way Race 8 SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET keeps rising to the challenge of stepping in in class and should get the right run to be right there again. ROLL ON HIGH will be standing them a start but has been competitive at a higher level and will be charging late. SOME PEOPLE CALLME appreciated a solid tempo to win an easier race last time and will strip fitter third up. MODOWN and WAR MACHINE are in the game. Selections: 1,8,5,10 Suggested Bet: Sunshineinmypocket each way Race 9 EUPHORIC and GOLDEN PATH both ran well in the same race first up and look competitive in another deep race. FOXY FRIDA likes racing here and drops back from a sound effort in Group 1 company. MARKAM stuck on well after covering ground in the Blaey and has jumped out nicely since. EL SOLEADO is having a great prep and is drawn to have clear air in the home straight. Selections: 16,3,4,17 Suggested Bet: Euphoric each way Race 10 CHORLTON LANE has jumped out in typically good fashion to resume and generally fires first up. BEL AIR is deep into his prep but is racing consistently and has jumped out well between runs. EXTRATWO is yet to be tested at 1400m but is bred to run it and drawn for a soft run. HENNESSY LAD chased well behind Extratwo first up and will appreciate 1400m. LETHAL THOUGHTS and DASHING have claims with luck from their respective draws. Selections: 10,2,15,8 Suggested Bet: Chorlton Lane to win Same Race Multi: Chorlton Lane (Top 2) + Bel Air (Top 4) Market Market
