Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 24, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 WARFARE (8) couldn’t get into the race when finishing midfield at his first run back after a minor setback. He should be fitter for that run and can overcome the wide draw. THE TRILOGY (1) is racing extremely well and gets his chance to shoot for an all-the-way victory from the pole. VINCENZO PERUGGIA (12) was ultra-impressive in breaking back into the winners’ circle last week but will find it harder from the backline. LIVURA (10) is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and can be dangerous late. Tips: 8 1 12 10 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (10) each way. Race 2 MIGHTY SANTANA (1) ran on well to finish 3rd to Our Corelli at his last start before a spell. He resumes here in an easier assignment and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. CARTER MICHEAL (10) was an impressive winner here last week and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. MAJOR POCKET (3) is racing extremely consistently and will be thereabouts again. ATHEBASCAN (2) finished less than 3m from the winner in the fast class race last week and must be considered from his nice draw. Tips: 1 10 3 2 Suggested Bet: CARTER MICHEAL (10) each way. Race 3 JUST ROCKON BYE (2) has been racing well in mares’ company but went to a new level when a narrow 3rd in 1.53.8 here against the boys last week. She is back to racing her own sex and has drawn inside her main rivals. EDEN FRANCO (4) didn’t perform at her best towards the end of her last campaign and resumes here but will be hard to beat if near her top. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (9) resumed from a spell with a comfortable win over JUST ROCKON BYE (2) but is drawn poorly tonight. ROSIES IDEAL (3) can play a part from her nice draw. Tips: 2 4 9 1 Suggested Bet: JUST ROCKON BYE (2) to win. Race 4 WILDWEST (2) is undefeated in his six career starts and that should remain unchanged with him drawing inside his main rivals tonight. BLETCHLEY PARK (3) has won his last two starts by big margins against easier fields and can test the favourite. GEE JAY KAY (5) has plenty of ability as evidenced by winning three on end at the end of his last campaign and is now with Ross Olivieri. TUBBS FARQUAR (1) doesn’t have the class of the three fancies but can sneak a place from this draw. Tips: 2 3 5 1 Suggested Bet: WILDWEST (2) to win. Race 5 ROBB STARK (2) doesn’t win out of turn but his two runs back from a spell have had plenty of merit and he will enjoy a better draw tonight. ANA AFREET (9) has won 11 of his 16 career starts and his last five on end but meets his biggest test from out here. BRACKEN SKY (1) has shown plenty in his two WA starts and must be respected from the pole. BEACH SKIPPER (10) broke through at his third run in WA and will enjoy a nice on the pegs. Tips: 2 9 1 10 Suggested Bet: ROBB STARK (2) to win. Race 6 VAMPIRO (1) was a strong 2nd to OUR CORELLI (2) three starts back and hasn’t had much luck at his subsequent runs. He will attempt to lead throughout and should give a great sight. OUR CORELLI (2) has won eight of his last 13 starts and looks a major player from this draw. ANA MALAK (7) won the Popular Alm Sprint at his last start in Victoria and his record demands respect. SPEED MAN (6) is in career best form and has shown that he can work in his races and still be in the finish. Tips: 1 2 7 6 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (1) to win. Race 7 EL JACKO (6) hasn’t won in his eight starts this campaign but this represents a drop in class and he should be charging home tonight. THEREUGO (2) has blistering gate speed and will give a great sight if he can cross without doing too much work. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) led throughout from this draw two starts back but may not have the speed to hold out THEREUGO (2) here. HOT FRATERNITY (8) was an impressive all-the-way winner here last week but is drawn poorly tonight Tips: 6 2 1 8 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (6) to win. Race 8 ATMOSPHERICAL (6) scored back-to-back victories in September and ran a close up 4th in the fast class event here last week. He likes the stand and appeals as the one to beat in an open affair. DESTINED TO RULE (8) upset the fancies when winning a stronger race at his last start and must be considered again. CARRERA MACH (9) was an impressive mobile winner here last week and will run a race if he steps cleanly. ATTACK ON COMMAND (12) is flying and is capable of overcoming his 20m handicap. Tips: 6 8 9 12 Suggested Bet: ATMOSPHERICAL (6) to win. Race 9 CYCLONE JIM (3) was unplaced at his first six starts but has been impressive in winning his last two runs and his times suggest he is ready for this rise in class. PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (7) is back to his best form and is the class runner of the field but does have a wide draw to overcome. SERGEANT OATS (5) had his chance when 2nd here last week but should be thereabouts again. CAPTAIN MANNERING (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the money. Tips: 3 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE JIM (3) to win. Race 10 EXTREME PRINCE (2) has finished down the track at his last four starts but drops in class tonight and should give a great sight. SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (9) has plenty of ability and led throughout here last start but has a tough draw to overcome. WALTZINGWITHSIERRA (5) was a solid winner at this track two starts ago and will be dangerous with the right run. GORDON (1) is now with Tony Svilicich and could be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 2 9 5 1 Suggested Bet: EXTREME PRINCE (2) to win. Market Market
