Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 7, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: PRINCI BUTCHERS BINSHAW MS PACE TALKTOMEURMATTJESTY (2) won four of his six starts last campaign and resumed from a spell with a 1.55.6 all the way victory. He went too hard in his heat and knocked up to finish 3rd to Mary Catherine but looks the leader here and can bounce back. THEREUGO (11) made a mid-race move to find the top when a narrow 2nd to LIVURA (8) and is getting fitter. LIVURA (8) finally had some luck when a good winner of his heat but has a wide draw to overcome. AUCTIONEERS ELSU (1) was the fastest heat winner and is drawn perfectly. Tips: 2 11 8 1 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (11) each way. Race 2: SKY RACING DRIVERS SERIES HEAT 3 MS PACE WARDAN EXPRESS (6) hasn’t had any luck in his two WA runs but gets his chance tonight. He has blistering gate speed and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start. SKIPPY RASCAL (1) is racing consistently and should get a lovely run in transit and be dangerous for his World Champion driver. SIMBA BROMAC (3) has won four of his past five in significantly weaker company but his times suggest that he can measure up. MIGHTY MISTER SHARKEY (4) was a solid 5th in a stronger event last week and can be thereabouts. Tips: 6 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: WARDAN EXPRESS (6) to win. Race 3: RETRAVISION INVITATION LADIES DRIVERS MARES MS PACE DIA MIA AMORE (1) is a C2 mare taking on higher assessed mares but she has plenty of ability. She was an impressive 1.55.2 winner at Pinjarra before running on nicely when 6th here last week. There is some doubt that she can hold up at the start but she will be hard to catch if she can lead. SHES ARTFUL (2) is racing well and would be very hard to beat if she found the top. BETTOR BLING (10) is in career best form and is drawn to get a nice run. MADAME MEILLAND (9) handled the rise in class well last start but has a horror draw. Tips: 1 2 10 9 Suggested Bet: DIA MIA AMORE (1) to win. Race 4: WESTRAL MARES CLASSIC MS PACE EDEN FRANCO (1) has won six of her last seven, leading on each occasion. This is her biggest test but her 1.54.5 win four starts back suggests that she will give a great sight. AMARETTO (5) comfortably won the Norms Daughter before facing the breeze when a close 3rd last week and will be right in the finish again. A PICCADILLY PRINCESS (10) led throughout to win the mares’ event last week and will be charging home if she has any luck from this draw. MAJOR REALITY (2) needs the right run in this company but is drawn to get all the favours and can surprise. Tips: 1 6 10 2 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (1) each way. Race 5: SLATER GARTRELL DRIVERS SERIES HEAT 4 MS PACE ARGYLE RED (1) flew home to beat a similar field last start from an awkward draw. He has the pole and can choose to lead or take a sit and will run a big race under either scenario. SOKYS BIG BULLET (2) disappointed from the breeze last week but is better suited rolling along and can bounce back. BETTOR REWARD (6) hasn’t lived up to expectations this time in but is a classy customer and can improve. OHOKA DARCY (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 6 10 Suggested Bet: BETTOR REWARD (6) each way. Race 6: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION GRAND FINAL SOHO TRIBECA (4) has impressed in all three heats and is ready for the race of his life. The draw looks a bit tricky but he will give a great sight with any luck in running. CHICAGO BULL (10) has had a perfect preparation and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. He has no problems coming from behind and will be extremely hard to hold out if extricated from the pegs at the right time. LAZARUS (2) is rightfully considered Australasia’s best horse and proved that with a track record on Night Three. He will love the staying trip and is the deserved favourite. TIGER TARA (1) led throughout to beat Lazarus on Night Two and will be a huge chance if he reproduces that run. Tips: 4 10 2 1 Suggested Bet: SOHO TRIBECA (4) each way. SuperPick - Race 6 No. 4 SOHO TRIBECCA - Money Back Race 7: RETRAVISION GOLDEN NUGGET ULTIMATE MACHETE (1) would be a winning chance in the Interdominion Final based on his win over Tiger Tara in the NZ FFA and should win against his own age group. He was crossed from this barrier two weeks ago and that looks the only concern. MOTU METEOR (4) has been unlucky in his two WA runs but gets his chance from this draw. HERRICK ROOSEVELT (10) looks a great place from this draw, while ROCK DIAMONDS (11) was a good winner last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. Tips: 1 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: ULTIMATE MACHETE (1) to win. Race 8: TAB TOUCH INTER DOMINION CONSOLATION YAYAS HOT SPOT (1) failed from bad barriers in two of his heats but was narrowly beaten in the heat that he drew well. He should lead here and give a big sight. MAJOR CROCKER (10) has had to contend with bad draws in all three heats but looks to get a nice trail from this alley and should relish the longer trip. OHOKA PUNTER (7) has returned to form and his 3rd to Lazarus in track record time looks good for the Consolation. JAMBIANI (2) was a solid effort in the same race and can be thereabouts from the draw. Tips: 1 10 7 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CROCKER (10) each way. RACE 9: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS SAN SIMEON FINAL MS PACE REAZA GRUNTER (3) got it all right last week when he found the front and rated a scintillating 1.54.0 for the 2130m. He is a good chance to take up the running again and will prove very hard to catch. EL JACKO (10) is awkwardly drawn but showed his class in his heat win and will be right in this with any luck. STROKE OF LUCK (4) was a strong 2nd to EL JACKO (10) in his first WA run and should have derived benefit from that hit out. COURAGE TO LIVE (1) disappointed in his heat but should go better driven with a sit. Tips: 3 10 4 1 SUGGESTED BET: LIVURA (5) to win. RACE 10: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC TROTTERS CUP SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (11) has won eight of her last nine, with the defeat being a strong 2nd to BLUE SKY COMMANDER (12) at her first run back from a spell. She should be fitter and looks the one to beat. BLUE SKY COMMANDER (12) has won his last four on end and is the obvious danger. ITSGETTINGCALDER (7) doesn’t quite have the class of the favoured pair but has won four of his last five, including two wins over BLUE SKY COMMANDER (12). LORD LIAM (10) looks the only other winning chance. Tips: 11 12 7 10 SUGGESTED BET: SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (11) to win. RACE 11: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE MS PACE AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (2) is a bold front runner who didn’t get the opportunity to show his best during the Inters heats. He gets a favourable draw tonight and will be hard to catch if he leads. MR MOJITO (11) hasn’t had much luck during the series and gets his chance to be driven aggressively tonight. NEW WORLD ORDER (1) was desperately unlucky in a weaker event on Monday and holds the key to the race as he may want to lead. COSTA DEL MAGNIFICO (3) flashed home last week and is better drawn tonight. Tips: 2 11 1 3 SUGGESTED BET: NEW WORLD ORDER (1) each way. Bet Now
