Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 30, 2019May 30, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) has been placed at two of his last three starts and gets the pole draw tonight. He would run a big race if he could hold the top but will also enjoy a nice run if crossed early and should be thereabouts under either scenario. THEREUGO (8) probably has enough gate speed to cross at the start and will be hard to catch if he doesn’t use too many tickets. MADAME MEILLAND (2) ran a nice 4th in strong mares’ company last week and can play a part. CRYSTAL SPARKLES (5) goes up in class on her first-up win. Tips: 1 8 2 5 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) to win. Race 2 BECHERS BROOK (4) was a solid first-up winner and then hit the line nicely when 5th to Speed Man here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he should prove hard to beat. BREACH THE BEACH (1) led throughout at this track three starts back and should give them something to catch again tonight. COTT BEACH (11) was held up for a run here last week and is drawn to get a nice trail from her backline draw. IM BATMAN (10) will be at big odds but can be placed from his lovely pegs draw. Tips: 4 1 11 10 Suggested Bet: BECHERS BROOK (4) to win. Race 3 TACT MAJOR (1) was a strong last start winner in easier company and gets his chance to beat the open class performers from his perfect draw. CAVIAR STAR (11) was far from disgraced when 4th in a strong field here last week and should be in the finish. VINCENZO PERUGGIA (10) is better known as a frontrunner but can be placed from this trailing draw. ZENNART (6) is first-up and will undoubtedly need the run but he is too good to completely overlook. Tips: 1 11 10 6 Suggested Bet: CAVIAR STAR (11) each way. Race 4 CHICAGO BULL (5) was surprisingly run down by WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (6) last week. He is still clearly the one to beat but this draw and last week’s defeat now make this an interesting affair. KING OF SWING (4) couldn’t get into the race last week after impressive wins at his previous two starts and is drawn inside his stablemate. VULTAN TIN (2) has disappointed at his last three but is rarely beaten in front and could make it interesting. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (6) caused the boilover last week but is drawn poorly tonight. Tips: 5 4 2 6 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (5) to win. Race 5 DOUBLE EXPRESSO (7) has made a big impression in winning six of her seven career starts. She led throughout to record a comfortable heat win and appeals as the one to beat. SOME COPPER BEACH (11) faced the breeze when an impressive winner of her heat and is looking for her fifth win on the trot. RUN FOR MERCY (12) hasn’t missed a place in her six starts and was a strong 2nd in her heat. SOHO WHISPER (10) ran on well to finish 2nd to DOUBLE EXPRESSO (7) in her heat and can be in the finish with luck in running. Tips: 7 11 12 10 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE EXPRESSO (7) to win. Race 6 SAYING GRACE (7) resumed from a spell with a distant but solid 2nd to King Of Swing. He should strip fitter for that run and can overcome the wide draw. SPEED MAN (6) was a good last start winner and has the advantage of being drawn inside his main rival. WARFARE (2) is a noted frontrunner and must be considered from this draw but the distance may be a query against this company. AS HAPPY AS LARRY (3) disappointed at his last run but should enjoy a softer trip in transit and can be dangerous late. Tips: 7 6 2 3 Suggested Bet: SAYING GRACE (7) to win. Race 7 QUICK STRIDE (2) beat a strong field at Bunbury before running on nicely to finish 4th here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he looks the one to beat from his nice draw. CARTE BLANCHE (5) defied the slow early pace to run over the top of them last week and can repeat the dose with the right trip. HEZA HEAD HONCHO (1) has been thereabouts of late and shouldn’t be far away from the pole. WAIMAC ATTACK (3) is racing well enough to be hard to catch if he could cross in the early stages. Tips: 2 5 1 3 Suggested Bet: QUICK STRIDE (2) to win. Race 8 IDEAL LINER (10) has won five of his eight starts and was an impressive 1.53.5 Pinjarra winner last start. He is awkwardly drawn but has a class edge on his rivals and is still the one to beat. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (2) has been working up to a win and will prove hard to catch if he can find the front. FROSTYFLYER (1) rarely finds the line first but looks a great place chance from this draw. ALL JOKES ASIDE (4) was a strong 2nd here last week and can be placed again. Tips: 10 2 1 4 Suggested Bet: IDEAL LINER (10) to win. Race 9 LADY DE LA RENTA (8) ran on well to defeat a strong field here a fortnight ago and then ran a nice 2nd to Tact Major from this draw. This looks slightly easier and she should prove hard to beat. INFINITE SYMBOL (3) was a good Pinjarra winner two starts back and looks the main danger from her favourable draw. CAPTURED DELIGHT (1) is extremely consistent and won’t be far away from the pole. COME DANCE WITH ME (4) has finished just behind the placegetters in stronger fields at her past two starts and can play a part. Tips: 8 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: LADY DE LA RENTA (8) to win. Race 10 BACK IN TWENTY (4) led throughout to win consecutive races in April before drawing poorly at his two subsequent runs. He is drawn to push forward and will be hard to beat if he finds the top. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (6) was placed twice behind BACK IN TWENTY (4) before sprinting home quickly to win at Bunbury and looks the main danger. GEE JAY KAY (9) is the class horse of the field but has to overcome a wide draw. ALTA RHETT (10) has been placed at big odds at his last two starts and can be in the money again. Tips: 4 6 9 10 Suggested Bet: BACK IN TWENTY (4) to win. Race 11 SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (6) has chased home LORD LIAM (7) when 2nd to that trotter at his last two starts. He is drawn inside his main rival tonight and can turn the tables. LORD LIAM (7) is in peak form with three consecutive victories and must be respected again. SUN OF ANARCHY (8) has been placed at 14 of his past 15 starts and should be in the money again. TENNO SHO (5) is drawn inside the class trio of this race and can play a part. Tips: 6 7 8 5 Suggested Bet: SUNNYS LITTLE WHIZ (6) to win. Market Market
