Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 26, 2019April 26, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 HIGHROLLER JOE (10) has been well driven to get off the pegs at his last two starts and finish too strongly for his rivals. He meets a similar field tonight and will need a bit of luck but this draw suits his racing style. FANCI A DANCE (6) couldn’t get into the race last week but will strip fitter and is better suited by the longer journey. DOMINATE THE DOJO (3) crossed from a wide barrier and was only run down late here last week and should give a sight. MISTERSANDMAN (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and won’t be far away. Tips: 10 6 3 1 Suggested Bet: HIGHROLLER JOE (10) each way. Race 2 CAVIAR STAR (2) was unplaced for the first time this campaign when 5th in the Easter Cup last week. His previous form was first class and he should be extremely hard to beat from this barrier. SPEED MAN (4) raced well in strong company before a spell and looks the main danger to his stablemate. LADY DE LA RENTA (7) was a strong 3rd to Our Angel Of Harlem last start and can play a part despite her wide draw. LOT TWENTY ONE (1) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but can be in the money from the pole. Tips: 2 4 7 1 Suggested Bet: CAVIAR STAR (2) to win. Race 3 AS HAPPY AS LARRY (5) was a good winner over Lady De La Renta before being nosed out by Mighty Conqueror in the Easter Cup here last week. He has an awkward draw but will give a great sight. BETTOR BE LIVELY (1) finished 7th in the Easter Cup but looks the likely leader here and should give them something to catch. IM SOXY (4) has been racing extremely consistently and should be a major player again. COTT BEACH (11) has been winning in easier company but should enjoy a nice run in transit and could be dangerous. Tips: 5 1 4 11 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE LIVELY (1) each way. Race 4 KING OF SWING (6) raced below his best towards the end of his last campaign but warmed up for this assignment with a 50m trial victory at Pinjarra. He isn’t suited by the sprint trip but is clearly the one to beat. IDEAL ONE (3) has won two of his last three starts but doesn’t have the class of his stablemate. WARRIORS CODE (2) led throughout in 1.55.6 over this distance three starts back and could give some cheek if he finds the front. OHOKA DARCY (5) hasn’t had much luck of late and can be placed with the right run. Tips: 6 3 2 5 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (6) to win. Race 5 ROSIES IDEAL (6) worked hard to find the front when a gallant 2nd to Our Angel Of Harlem here last start. She can press forward at the start and should prove hard to beat. COME DANCE WITH ME (12) has won two of her last three and will be suited by the likelihood of a fast pace. SARAH GOODY (8) was a 1.54.0 winner in mares’ company three starts back and will appreciate the drop in class from her latest assignments. VEILED SECRET (1) is drawn to be prominent and should be thereabouts from the pole. Tips: 6 12 8 1 Suggested Bet: ROSIES IDEAL (6) to win. Race 6 VULTAN TIN (8) faced the breeze when a strong winner in a similar field last start and looks even better suited over the staying journey. THE BUCKET LIST (3) always needs luck in his races but has the turn of foot to be dangerous if the breaks go his way. WHOZIDEASWASTHIS (4) has gone forward early at his last two starts and has been a bit disappointing but can improve here. IM FULL OF EXCUSES (1) has a losing sequence of ten but wasn’t far away last start and has the advantage of the pole draw. Tips: 8 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: VULTAN TIN (8) to win. Race 7 HERRICK ROOSEVELT (1) defeated Kimani twice before battling bad draws and luck at his two subsequent starts. He is clearly the one to beat here as long as he can hold up at the start. OVERBOARD AGAIN (2) is drawn to get the run of the race and looks a great chance for the quinella. OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (8) was ultra-impressive at her first run back from a spell but would need a speed war to bring her into the race. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (3) is flying and will give plenty of cheek if he can cross at the start. Tips: 1 2 8 3 Suggested Bet: HERRICK ROOSEVELT (1) to win. Race 8 ARMA INDIE (1) impressed at her only start in the state when she drew poorly and ran on well to finish 2nd to Typhoon Tiff. She has obviously had problems since that run but will be extremely hard to beat if she is anywhere near her top at her return. LA ROUE DE LAMOUR (2) is an improving filly and should be in the money from this draw. BALCATHERINE (9) couldn’t get into the race here last week but may be driven more aggressively tonight. FAKE NEWS (5) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 9 5 Suggested Bet: ARMA INDIE (1) to win. Race 9 DOUBLE EXPRESSO (2) has created a big impression in winning all five career starts. This looks her biggest test to date but she is still the one to beat. POISEDTOPOUNCE (1) has improved at each start and recorded a sizzling 1.54.1 victory at his last start and can test the favourite from this draw. JASPERVELLABEACH (4) is undefeated in his two starts but faces a tougher test tonight drawn outside the two fancies. SECRET OPERATION (5) was a solid 2nd to JASPERVELLABEACH (4) last start and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE EXPRESSO (2) to win. Race 10 SUN OF ANARCHY (7) was a dominant winner here two starts back before working hard out of the gate when a disappointing 3rd to MORTICIAN (5) at his last start. He can be driven off the speed tonight and can finish over the top of them if there is a solid tempo. LORD LIAM (6) has finished 2nd at all three starts this time in and should be a major player again tonight. MORTICIAN (5) has won five of his past six starts and is drawn inside his main rivals. BALMORAL BOY (8) is the best of the rest but has a wide draw to overcome. Tips: 7 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: SUN OF ANARCHY (7) to win. Market Market
