Race 1

ROCKET CITY (8) was a comfortable all-the-way winner against an easier field at his last start but he is capable of unwinding a big finish and should be charging home here at good each way odds. INSTA GATOR (2) has been placed at his last four starts and will be prominent throughout from his nice draw. TANTABIDDI (4) led throughout in 1.54.8 at his last start and he will be hard to catch if he can cross at the start. CROWD CONTROL (12) has been placed in 14 of his past 19 starts and should be thereabouts again.

Race 2

LUCCA (2) drops significantly in class after taking on the state’s best 4YO’s and is clearly the one to beat tonight.  FLYING RUMOUR (3) has led throughout to win two of his three starts this time in and he will give the favourite something to catch if he can cross at the start.  LOUCID DREAMS (10) has won his last two starts and he will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (4) impressed when running on from the rear to finish 3rd at his last start and can play a part if there is a solid tempo.

Suggested Bet: LUCCA (2) to win.

Race 3

MACHNIFICENT (2) has ran on well to win two of his last three starts but can press for an all-the-way victory from this nice draw. EL CHEMA (4) was blocked for as run when 4th to Lavra Joe here last week and looks the obvious danger. CORDERO (1) sat behind the leader when 2nd here a fortnight ago and he looks set for a similar trip tonight. GOODFELLAZ (7) galloped out of the mobile at his last start and now has to start from the outside draw but has too much ability to overlook completely.

Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (2) to win.

Race 4

HOPPYS WAY (5) led and was placed in two of the lead-ups before being held up at a crucial stage when 4th in the Golden Nugget last week. He has very good gate speed and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start. MY ULTIMATE CHEVRON (4) crosses the Nullarbor with very good form and a recent Pinjarra trial win in solid time indicates he will be hard to beat first-up. CARANA (2) has been racing extremely well in stands and can make his presence felt from his nice draw. ARDENS HORIZON (1) has been placed at his last two starts and should be thereabouts again from the pole.

Suggested Bet: HOPPYS WAY (5) to win.

Race 5

WONDERFUL TO FLY (1) beat the boys in the Nova Classic before running on from the rear to finish 2nd to Tricky Miki in the Golden Nugget. She comes up with the pole draw back against her own sex and is clearly the one to beat. TAKING THE MIKI (10) has finished just behind the placegetters at her last three starts but is racing well and should enjoy a soft run on the pegs. STENO (4) crossed from a wide draw when a brilliant winner here last week and will be hard to catch if she finds the front again. CYCLONE CHARLOTTE (2) will enjoy a better barrier tonight and can win with the right run.

Race 6

LAVRA JOE (5) found the front when an ultra-impressive 1.52.9 winner first-up and is clearly the one to beat here. ARMA EINSTEIN (1) faced the breeze and fought on tenaciously to be placed in that event and will enjoy a nicer run on the pegs tonight. MINSTREL (4) was a strong winner against an easier field at his last start and can make his presence felt but he is awkwardly drawn. VULTAN TIN (2) wound back the clock when recording a solid all-the-way win here last week but goes up in class tonight.

Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (5) to win.

Race 7

ADDA SPOILT MAJOR (2) found the front when an impressive winner last start and should be getting close to peak fitness at his third run back from a spell. MIGHTHAVETOME (3) overcame a wide draw to be placed for the sixth consecutive time at her last start and will be in the firing line throughout. OUR STAR WATCH (1) led throughout at his last start and has options at the start from the pole. CLOUD NINE (10) hasn’t had much luck of late but will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and won’t be far away.

Suggested Bet: ADDA SPOILT MAJOR (2) to win.

Race 8

EVAS IMAGE (1) resumed with a comfortable all-the-way win from the stand and looks the one to beat from the pole. PATCHED (9) has won two of his last three starts and has the best form in the race but has a 40m handicap to overcome. ELEGANT PEAK (3) has won two of her last three starts and looks the other winning chance. LUVAFLAIR (8) is always running on and can be in the money.

Suggested Bet: EVAS IMAGE (1) to win.

Race 9

FIREROCKFIREROLL (1) led throughout here two starts back before finishing at the rear in a stand. He isn’t the most consistent pacer but does look the one to beat tonight. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (3) was a strong winner from the breeze in good time at his last start and looks the obvious danger. OCTOBER REIGN (7) is a last-start winner who is the class runner of the field but the draw makes it tough. MADDY MADDY (2) can be placed from her nice barrier.
