Race 1

STREET HAWK (2) had no luck when well-fancied in the WA Derby and has had a short break since that effort. He is first-up without a trial but is the class runner of the field and is clearly the one to beat. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (1) led when a close 2nd here in 1.54.4 two starts back and has options at the start. ALCOPONY (11) led and won here last week and could end up getting the run of the race if the polemarker holds the front.  DEEORSE (10) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but is drawn to get a soft run and can be placed.

Tips: 2 1 11 10

Suggested Bet: STREET HAWK (2) to win

Race 2

SOCRATES (10) has been placed in his last three starts and looks a major player. He is drawn to sit behind the likely leader and will be hard to hold out if he sees daylight at the right time. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (3) has been unplaced in his last seven starts but drops significantly in class for this assignment and should fight out the finish. BETTORSTARTDREAMING (1) led throughout to defeat a weaker field here at his last start and should give a sight. TWOBOBCRACKER (2) looks a good place chance from his draw.

Suggested Bet: SOCRATES (10) each way.

Race 3

PRADASON (1) was crossed from this draw when 2nd to Jack Farthing last week but should hold up tonight and appeals as the one to beat. JAMES BUTT (2) led throughout in 1.54.4 before charging home for a close 2nd here last week and is the obvious danger. THEO AVIATOR (10) has been unplaced at his last three starts but should enjoy a nice run in transit and can improve. MIRRAGON (12) continues to race well but will be giving his main rivals a head start.

Suggested Bet: PRADASON (1) to win.

Race 4

SANGUE REALE (1) recorded three consecutive wins against easier company before running a nice 5th in the WA Pacing Cup. He has good gate speed and looks the one to beat from the pole. HANDSANDWHEELS (2) led throughout and dashed home in quick time at his last start and is returning to his best form. GLENLEDI CHIEF (4) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd here last week and should be thereabouts again. TENZING BROMAC (5) has been placed in 18 of his 21 career starts and is ready for the rise in class.

Suggested Bet: SANGUE REALE (1) to win.

Race 5

THE AMBER HARE (11) is first-up after a short layoff without a trial and is better suited over longer trips but she is a classy mare who can overcome the backline draw. NEVERMINDTHECHAOS (12) is the in-form mare of the field and can track THE AMBER HARE (11) everywhere she goes. VIVERE DAMORE (1) was a solid 4th here last week and should give a great sight from the pole over the sprint trip. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (10) has had almost a year away from the track but is drawn to get a soft run and can be dangerous at odds.

Tips: 11 12 1 10

Suggested Bet: THE AMBER HARE (11) each way.

Race 6

VALENTINES BROOK (2) has displayed his versatility by winning his last three starts in different ways and looks the one to beat again tonight. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (1) resumed with an eye-catching 2nd in the Northam Cup and has options at the start from the pole draw. HENGHENG (3) was a strong 2nd from the breeze here last week and should make his presence felt again. ONESMARTFELLA (5) drops in class on his last-start 5th and will be charging home if the race is run to suit.

Tips: 2 1 3 5

Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (2) to win.

Race 7

RAVEN BANNER (2) raced in considerably stronger company in New Zealand and looks the one to beat at his Australian debut. SEVEN NO TRUMPS (1) led throughout from the stand two starts back before backing it up with a mobile win and is the obvious danger from the pole. AUSSIE SCOOTER (7) is an extremely consistent performer who should be thereabouts again. AMERICAN BULLITT (3) ran on well to finish a close 2nd here last week and is suited in standing start events.

Suggested Bet: RAVEN BANNER (2) to win.

Race 8

IFEELSIKDARL (3) is a proven frontrunner who will be hard to catch if he can cross at the start. MASTER YOSSI (12) is knocking on the door after finishing 2nd at his last two starts and will come right into contention if there is a strong early tempo.  CARRERA MACH (5) has been placed in four of his last five starts and can figure again. SUNSHINE SWIFT (1) has been racing fairly from bad draws and can improve sharply tonight.

Tips: 3 2 5 1

Suggested Bet: IFEELSIKDARL (3) to win.

Race 9

FLY TO FAME (5) was impressive in winning two of her last three starts before going for a spell and looks the one to beat despite being first-up without a trial. CABSAV (7) did defeat FLY TO FAME (5) late last year and last start 4th against the boys indicates that she can overcome the wide draw here. AUGUST MOON (3) won a recent trial by 26 metres and is the best drawn of the main chances. SWEET VIVIENNE (4) won her last two starts before a spell and looks the other winning chance.

Tips: 5 7 3 4

Suggested Bet: FLY TO FAME (5) to win.
