Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 26, 2022August 26, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 RASCAL (4) won three of his last four starts before going for a spell and indicated that he is ready to go first-up with a dominant 1.57.0 Pinjarra trial victory. He is drawn inside his main rivals here and appeals as the one to beat. MARKHAM EYRE (7) is flying and has proven that he can overcome tough draws and looks the main danger. ROCKNROLL ELLIOT (11) has won three of his six starts this time in and can play a part from his trailing draw. ONESMARTFELLA (9) has finished 2nd in his three WA starts but has a horror draw tonight. Tips: 4 7 11 9 Suggested Bet: RASCAL (4) to win. Race 2 ROCKABALL (3) impressed with an eye-catching 2nd to Plutonium at his first run back from a spell and can go one better tonight. LORD ROSCO (1) returned to the winners’ list here last week and will lead and give a great sight tonight. BOOM TIME (2) is a last start-winner who should enjoy a nice run close to the speed and should fight out the finish. TUAS DELIGHT (10) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed despite the rise in class. Tips: 3 1 2 10 Suggested Bet: ROCKABALL (3) to win. Race 3 EIGHTEEN CARAT (8) has impressed with three consecutive all-the-way victories at this track. She is unlikely to find the top here and rises in class but still appeals as the one to beat. THREE RUMOURS (1) overcame a back line draw to finish 2nd at her first run back from a spell and should give a great sight from the pole. ALTA CINDERELLA (5) is first-up and is an inconsistent type but she must be respected on her recent 1.54.9 trial win at Pinjarra. PLATINUM SPARKLE (6) ran a nice 2nd here last week and is an improving type. Tips: 8 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: THREE RUMOURS (1) each way. Race 4 LAVRA JOE (1) led throughout from a wide gate against a similar field here last week and he should go on his winning way from the pole. JUMPINGJACKMAC (3) will settle close to the pace and looks the only danger if there is one. MINSTREL (6) has disappointed in his first two runs back from a spell but will strip fitter for those efforts. VULTAN TIN (5) caused an upset when he led throughout to defeat LAVRA JOE (1) and JUMPINGJACKMAC (3) at his last start but won’t be finding the top tonight. Tips: 1 3 6 5 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (1) to win. Race 5 NEVER ENDING (3) has been ultra-impressive in winning all three race starts and is clearly the one to beat after drawing inside his stablemate. VALEDICTORIAN (5) looks a complete racehorse and couldn’t have been more impressive in his heat win and is the obvious danger. CROWD CONTROL (2) had his colours lowered in his heat but is drawn inside the two favourites and will play a part. LUCAPELO (1) holds the key to the race as he has the gate speed to lead if required and won’t be far away. Tips: 3 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: NEVER ENDING (3) to win. Race 6 HAMPTON BANNER (4) used his brilliant gate speed to cross at the start and lead throughout at his last two runs before going for a spell. He is first-up tonight without a trial but will be hard to catch if he finds the front and is close to his best. PLUTONIUM (2) has impressed in winning all three starts this time in and should fight out the finish here as well. SOCRATES (5) won the San Simeon at his last start but will need some luck in running from his awkward draw. JAMES BUTT (1) has been off the scene for 30 months but has ability. Tips: 4 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: HAMPTON BANNER (4) to win. Race 7 WALL STREET GIRL (2) found the front from this draw at her last start and was a comfortable all-the-way winner. She rises slightly in class here but should prove hard to beat. TAKING THE MIKI (6) was a solid 2nd at her first start back from a spell and is a classy customer at her best. IM THEMIGHTYLUCY (12) has won three of her last four starts but goes to the back line tonight. BONSTAR (1) sat on WALL STREET GIRL (2) when placed behind that mare on Tuesday and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 2 6 12 1 Suggested Bet: WALL STREET GIRL (2) to win. Race 8 FANCI A DANCE (1) has a losing sequence of 16 but his recent efforts have been full of merit and he looks hard to beat from the pole tonight. EUPHORIA (5) has been placed in his last five starts and should be right in the finish again. MIRRAGON (12) resumes here without a trial but is right up to these at his best and must be considered. TWOANDAHALFTIGERS (10) has been battling barriers of late and can be placed at odds from his trailing draw. Tips: 1 5 12 10 Suggested Bet: FANCI A DANCE (1) to win. Race 9 MASTER YOSSI (7) has won seven of his 16 starts from the stand and has won his last two in impressive fashion. He meets COOPER (5) 10 metres better at the handicaps after beating him on Monday and appeals as the one to beat. COOPER (5) broke after the start when 4th in that event and will give plenty of cheek if he can step to the front. AMERICAN BULLITT (3) is a nice sit-sprint gelding who is always dangerous with the right run. JOEY JAMES (1) won a similar event six starts back and shouldn’t be far away from this draw. Tips: 7 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: MASTER YOSSI (7) to win. Race 10 RUPERT OF LINCOLN (2) has a losing sequence of 13 but his last start 3rd was full of merit and he appeals as the one to beat. POWER AND GRACE (7) was fancied here last week but didn’t have any luck in running and can improve tonight. CARRERA MACH (6) ran on well to finish 3rd at his last start and is always dangerous with the right run. FREE TO AIR (1) has been unplaced at his last 15 starts but loves a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 2 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: RUPERT OF LINCOLN (2) to win. Market Market
