Matt Young’s Saturday Bunbury Preview Posted on April 23, 2026April 24, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 TEXAS STORM (8) will win, he hit the line bolting last time out and prior to that has been luckless, drops massively in grade and whatever price you get about him looks to be a good price for multi building on the program, very keen. NELLYS WORLD (1) showed enough promise to be respected in this, expecting a decent return and the draw helps. SHOOBETCHA (5) has upside with WHERES MY HALO (6) who just needs to perform like the effort behind Lazi Dais to be a novelty chance. ROCKSTAR WORLD (7) drops in grade but gains the visitors draw. Tips: 8 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: TEXAS STORM (8) to win. Race 2 SIZZLE ORO (6) looks to continue the improvement and bumped into a nice one in good time at Pinjarra but showed good improvement, bumps into a winnable lineup and appears hard to beat. INVISIBLE EVIL (7) won when leading on debut, this field looks harder and faces a few challenges. FIRTH OF CLYDE (2) has the nice draw but isn’t know for his early brilliance, expect him to run well in this grade. LADY CRUNCH TIME (4) better suited here, and recent form has been solid enough to feature here. KOH I NOOR CAMEL (8) will get a softer run and be getting home nicely. Tips: 6 2 4 7 Suggested Bet: SIZZLE ORO (6) to win. Race 3 Open race. MADAM MAGGIE (2) comes in off a freshen up and has the nice draw, can be driven for the top here and can burn something early and still fight on late, should run well fresh. TA IN ADVANCE (12) has a few traffic issues and although he is flying at the heart of it he is more known for not being able to do his own dirty work and been driven for his speed, will need a touch of luck. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (9) caught my eye last run and think she is an outside chance, raced with zest through the line and Reece Kaptein does a good job with his horses. SKIPPIN CLASS (1) not racing at his best but has a nice draw. ROMAN LEGION (6) is capable as he returns and faces a tough draw. WICKED HUSTLER (7) first up for the new stable and must be respected on his best work. GOODTIME LOUIS (11) better suited off the front, but he has been beaten and bruised in recent runs and wouldn’t surprise to see him running on well. Tips: 2 9 12 7 Suggested Bet: GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (9) each way. Race 4 FROM TIGERLAND (7) may have been just caught out with a bit of inexperience last start in the big smoke on the tighter track from an awkward draw and happy to be with him again here, he has good early speed (normally) and looks hard to hold out in this. BROUGHT TO LIGHT (11) hit the line strongly last time out and continues his upward trajectory, he is a highly talented horse and will go well. CAPTAIN COOPER (4) has plenty of ability, ran through the line well last time out but wasn’t the safest in the last 400m, better suited on the bigger track and should run well. I think there is a distinct drop off to the rest class wise and they’ll be battling for fourth with main chances including. PURA VIDA (2), AGENT ANDY (6) and SUGAR BOO (10). Tips: 7 11 4 2 Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN COOPER/FROM TIGERLAND/BROUGHT TO LIGHT always Trifecta. Race 5 CULLEN STAR (10) caught the eye last time out and looks ready to run a big race, he has depth and this looks suitable, hard to beat in this. DAT LOVELY (7) is capable but is coming in fresh from the wide draw. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (1) is one who can mix her gate speed but distance suits to be close to the speed and can be placed in this with respect to MASTER REMI (2), ELEPHANT ROCK (3) who are both capable. GOV STARZZZ (8) nicely drawn and will be running on with DAMAGE DONE (9). JOEY JAMES (11) is capable but has some traffic issues. Tips: 10 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: CULLEN STAR (10) to win. Race 6 OUR RICH CARGO (6) is second up and looks set to dominate in this grade, suited clearly and has the draw advantage over her main rival, another multi builder by the looks. GELSOMINO AMAL (7) is racing consistently and producing some good efforts, will run well again here. SHESA ENCHANTRESS (2) has been racing well and looks a solid place chance with the early speed to lead and go from there. JUST BETTY (3) a novelty chance with CAPTURE THE MOMENT (5) and EASTON QUALITY (8). Tips: 6 7 2 8 Suggested Bet: SHESA ENCHANTRESS (2) to place. Race 7 BLOCKJORG (5) has caught the eye with a couple of her previous efforts and looks a strong chance with her early speed, she is ready to win but unfortunately, she doesn’t win out of turn these days so wouldn’t be diving in too short. SHES ALL GO (2) has the nice draw and races well on speed, will be coming out hard and looking for the top as well. LOCAL RESIDENT (12) has traffic issues but will be running on strongly. THERE AND THEN (1) was sound on return and disappointed second up, looks better suited for novelty chances tonight with CHALKY WHITE (3), SPEED FORCE (4), CALL TO ARMS (6) and JUST A PET (7). SWITCH BLADE (11) faces a few issues from back there. Tips: 5 12 2 6 Suggested Bet: LOCAL RESIDENT (12) each way. Race 8 SUPREMEDREAM (5) looks to have upside, and first up effort was solid enough for this, appears hard to beat but is still learning what it’s all about and that is the case for the stablemate and debutante ALMIGHTY KING (10) who looks to have a great deal of ability also. ULTIMATE ZIPPER (2) is showing enough promise and is nicely draw, expecting a decent debut. Novelty chances to LOWLANDS BEACH BOY (1), CAPPY THE FIREY (3) and DOWN TENNESSEE (9) and SIR ALEC WHITBY (7) continues to improve in trials but the draw is not ideal. Tips: 5 10 2 9 Suggested Bet: SUPREMEDREAM (5) to win. Market Market
