Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on April 23, 2026April 23, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 Speed should be ok, 5,6 &10 all go forward. Plenty of merit to the last start win of THE WESTERN FRONT three weeks between runs going to 2400 for the first time. Addition of ear muffs helped him settle and rates highly to repeat with a genuine tempo expected. This is the sort of race BLUESTONE has promised to and should be winning, his will to win late in his races is still a query, back to the jumpouts since, going well enough. XTRA RUSH likely leader and can stick on. POST IMPRESSIONIST back on a dry surface can improve sharply. Selections: 4,8,6,1 Suggested Bet: THE WESTERN FRONT win RACE 2 Average race for the fillies. Speed only moderate. CARRIEDO stalked the speed at Sandown and sprinted quickly for an impressive win last start. With that lack of tempo her draw favours best and should take beating again. CAFE AU LAIT has jumped out well since getting every chance at Flemington in a similar race, CONCORD CONNIE doesn’t have the best set-up but looks the most talented of this field, horror draw, likely to go back and hope for speed. YUM will land near her in the back of the field. Selections: 6,4,8,1 Suggested Bet: CARRIEDO win RACE 3 PROFLIGATE had quiet jumpouts prior to an impressive debut win at Pakenham beating a moderate bunch. Step up in trip suits and has drawn well. DRUMFIRE brings a different form line coming down from Sydney, a soft jumpout at Flem no guide, respect on the race experience alone. BLIND RAISE landed some good bets at Sandown on debut in a weak race, gives the impression he can improve further up to 1400m. NIALAH found the line on debut, switching states, need a market push. Selections: 9,3,1,11 Suggested Bet: PROFLIGATE 1 x 3 RACE 4 MUKHTALIF was arrogant winning first-up at Caulfield when put on-speed and the money was on. Again he’s well-placed with an ideal draw at this level. CURSE IT followed him home that, he lacks early speed but can be strong late. A good speed up front suits SKIPPERS CANYON second-up rising to 1800m after a solid run first-up. REVOLVER should get a sweet trip back on the fence but finds a tough race. Selections: 2,5,3,18 Suggested Bet: MUKHTALIF win RACE 5 MISS ARIA was impressive at the Geelong jumpouts last week and maps for a sweet trail in behind the speed from the inside draw, she’s right in this race. ROADCONE resumes off one jumpout, he maps for a soft lead and hard to get past when he can dictate as he showed last time in, class is the query. ATHANATOS maps perfect to put himself in winning contention, he is consistent but a reverse line-finder. BIG SWINGER a winning chance if they go quick. Selections: 8,12,3,7 Suggested Bet: MISS ARIA each way RACE 6 Tricky race. DEAL DONE FAST brings some quality coming back out of Group class, bred to run the 2800m without issue. DAD AND DAVE similar, he’s one paced as is CROWN OF RUSSIA who had no luck at Werribee, looks a proper stayer, dour and can stick on but best efforts to date have been on rain-affected tracks. SILVASISTA will be popular, she has a turn of foot but doubt she gets the speed to suit. AWESOME ARTIST & CHILLIES can settle forward in running in a race without much pressure. Selections: 1,2,6,16 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 7 No speed. That could give SUN GIFT a chance to be positive and take a forward position, impressive recent jumpout returning from a freshen up, form prior was good enough to be in contention here. ZAKOUMA can win because he’s an exciting stayer on the up, the map is sticky though with lack of speed. PLYMOUTH had tactics queried last start, drifted back and made no impression in the straight. He could improve with more intent and a change in rider. BRING FORTH will be among the early speed, a sharp class rise. Selections: 11,15,4,13 Suggested Bet: SUN GIFT 1 x 3 RACE 8 EVERAIN is well-placed with the speed on to suit, the draw is niggly, leading chance provided the track is playing fair. CRIPPS looks our likely leader from the inside, he has to go up another level but impressive last time out. ALERO may come across and park outside, together we should see a decent tempo. MADIYYA has a good turn of foot, she is resuming and caught the eye at the jumpouts. THEBLADE can take a forward position in behind the speed, just fair fresh, could improve. A host of chances outside of these. Selections: 3,11,12,6 Suggested Bet: Exotics Market Market
