Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 5, 2018July 5, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CHOICES FLOORING KALGOORLIE MS PACE MILLVIEW SIENNA (5) has been racing in mares’ company but should perform well against the boys here. She faced the breeze and looked the winner at the top of the straight when a close up 4th here last week and the times were good enough for this. BREACH THE BEACH (2) ran on well to finish 3rd in a better field last week and should play a part. BRAVO TEX (10) couldn’t have had less luck last start and only needs a clear passage from this draw to be in the finish. SMO (1) was placed at big odds last week and can be again. Tips: 5 2 10 1 Suggested Bet: MILLVIEW SIENNA (5) each way. Race 2: CHOICES FLOORING OSBORNE PARK MS PACE JOHNNY DISCO (6) pushed Ultimate Machete before a spell and indicated that he is ready for this assignment with a sizzling Pinjarra trial win. He doesn’t have a great first-up record but his class should take him a long way. MACZAFFAIR (7) drops in class on her last start 2nd to Bettors Fire but isn’t as well drawn tonight. IM ROCKARIA (2) has been disappointing at his three starts back from a spell but has plenty of ability on his night. SOHO CHELSEA (5) is first up from a spell but performs well over the sprint trip. Tips: 6 7 2 5 Suggested Bet: JOHNNY DISCO (6) to win. Race 3: CHOICES FLOORING CANNINGTON THE CHANDON QUALIFYINGMS PACE HANDSANDWHEELS (1) has led throughout to beat easier fields at his last two starts. This is a significant rise in class but he looks set to get an easy lead and should prove hard to catch. LETS CHASE THE DREAM (2) has impressed in being placed at three of his four starts this campaign and will appreciate the drop in class and better draw tonight. EL JACKO (7) was to be sent for a spell after his last start flop but the stable must be happy with him and he has plenty of ability. ARDENS CONCORD (11) looks a place chance from his trailing draw. Tips: 1 2 7 11 Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (1) to win. Race 4: CHOICES FLOORING JOONDALUP MS PACE BETTORS FIRE (5) has won five of his past six starts in similar fields and is clearly the one to beat. It would be race over if he found the top but has shown he can still be right there from the breeze. VAMPIRO (1) isn’t proven compared to his rivals but can run a cheeky race from the pole. GALACTIC STAR (6) was a dominant winner in quick time last week but will need a touch of luck from this draw. JAMBIANI (10) loves the pegs and can be in the money at big odds. Tips: 5 1 6 10 Suggested Bet: BETTORS FIRE (5) to win. Race 5: CHOICES FLOORING 2YO FILLIES GOLD BRACELET MS PACE DRACARYS (2) has impressed in winning her four WA starts and has handled her main rivals here in those runs and should do so again from this draw. STARLIGHT DESTINY (4) started from the back line and chased hard when 2nd to DRACARYS (2) last start and shouldn’t be far away again. IONA DIAMOND (1) has looked inferior to her stablemate but must be respected on her last start win. SOHO INTERCEPTOR (3) won the $100,000 Westbred Classic last week but wasn’t impressive and this looks harder. Tips: 2 4 1 3 Suggested Bet: DRACARYS (2) to win. Race 6: CHOICES FLOORING BUSSELTON GOLDEN SLIPPER PRELUDE MS PACE FRANCO EDWARD (5) has been ultra-impressive in winning his three starts this campaign. He has since won a Byford trial by 17m and is the deserved favourite in this event. SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (6) has been placed at eight of his nine career starts and the stable has reported he is right up there with FRANCO EDWARD (5). ITS ROCK AND ROLL (3) missed a place for the first time in his career but now has the barrier advantage over his main rivals. BLETCHLEY PARK (7) is as good as any horse in the event but has the widest draw. Tips: 5 6 3 7 Suggested Bet: FRANCO EDWARD (5) to win. Race 7: CHOICES FLOORING BUNBURY MS PACE TYLER BRETT (9) has led throughout to win his last four starts. It will be hard from this draw but he looks to have a touch of class on his opposition. RUNAWAY THREE (12) has to overcome a back line draw but has been racing in better fields than he meets tonight. LIGHTNING JOLT (6) chased home TYLER BRETT (9) last start and shouldn’t be far away again. SMACKWATER JACK (10) has been placed at two of his past three and should enjoy a soft trip on the pegs. Tips: 9 12 6 10 Suggested Bet: TYLER BRETT (9) to win. Race 8: CHOICES FLOORING GERALDTON MS PACE MILLWOOD MOLLY (1) has been racing in easier company but has impressed in winning two of her last three starts and wasn’t disgraced in the defeat. She is drawn perfectly and should give a great sight. SUSIE ROCKS (10) couldn’t get into the race here last week but must be considered on her previous form. SHE COULD BE GOOD (9) is the best performed runner in the event but has a wide draw to overcome. SOHO CHANGELING (3) hasn’t had much luck lately and can improve. Tips: 1 10 9 3 Suggested Bet: SUSIE ROCKS (10) each way. Race 9: CHOICES FLOORING MIDLAND MS PACE COURAGE TO LIVE (6) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts against stronger opposition than he meets tonight. He has a nice turn of foot and should be charging home tonight. SOHO LEVIATHAN (2) has been unplaced at his past five starts but looks the leader here and should give them something to catch. LIVIN LA BAMBA (9) has resumed from a long break in blistering fashion but is drawn poorly. IM SOXY (10) didn’t have much luck last start and can sneak into the money from his soft draw. Tips: 6 2 9 10 Suggested Bet: COURAGE TO LIVE (6) to win. Race 10: CHOICES FLOORING ALBANY 3YO WESTBRED MS PACE TUBBS FARQUHAR (1) has limited ability but has found the right race. He looks the leader and should prove hard to catch with Gary Hall Jnr in the cart. VILLAGE BENNY (6) had every chance when a distant 4th to Jack Mac here last week but will appreciate the drop in class. ITSNOTOVA (7) ran on nicely to finish 4th in a similar event to this at his last start and will be running on again here. FIGHT SONG (8) wasn’t far away last start and can play a part if he gets the right cart into the race. Tips: 1 6 7 8 Suggested Bet: TUBBS FARQUHAR (1) to win. Market Market
