Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 7, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (5) was a strong winner at Bunbury before doing too much work when 7th to Papinik. This is an easier assignment and he will be hard to hold out if he gets the right trip in running. ROLL WITH ME (10) has won two of his three starts this time and is drawn to get a lovely run behind the likely leader. ART TUTOR (1) led throughout from this draw four starts back and should give a great sight from the pole. DENNIS (11) hasn’t had much luck of late and can improve from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 5 10 1 11 Suggested Bet: ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (5) to win. Race 2 DESTINED TO RULE (1) was placed in a stand on Monday in quick time and has the advantage of the pole draw here. He will give a great sight if he leads or sits on the pace and should be in the finish. OUR PERKINS (2) ran on well to finish 3rd here last week and must be respected from this draw. QUICK STRIDE (10) ran 2nd to Tiffany Rose from the same draw recently and will enjoy a soft run on the pegs. ATTACK ON COMMAND (3) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 1 2 10 3 Suggested Bet: DESTINED TO RULE (1) to win. Race 3 MCARDLES GEM (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at his past two starts and gets his chance from the pole. He can lead or take a sit and should give a great sight under either scenario. RUNAWAY THREE (4) was an impressive 18m winner from the breeze at his last start and must be considered on that effort. WALSH (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be dangerous late. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (11) was a solid 2nd here last week and is drawn to settle in a handy position. Tips: 1 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: WALSH (10) each way. Race 4 MARQUISARD (1) led throughout here in 1.56.7 over this distance and a repeat performance will make him hard to beat despite the rise in class. PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (3) faced the breeze when winning in slightly slower time last week and will give a great sight again. BLETCHLEY PARK (5) ran on well when 3rd here last week but is likely to be giving the two main dangers a start in the run. LIGHTNING JOLT (2) is first-up but is drawn nicely and can play a part from this draw if near his best. Tips: 1 3 5 2 Suggested Bet: MARQUISARD (1) to win. Race 5 CHICAGO BULL (8) was brave in defeat when working hard here last week and is clearly the horse to beat. EL JACKO (4) and IM FULL OF EXCUSES (2) finished down the track in that event but are better drawn tonight and both can be dangerous if they get the right breaks. IM SOXY (10) led and had his chance in that race but is drawn to get a nice run on the pegs and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 8 4 2 10 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (8) to win. Race 6 ARMA INDIE (2) worked too hard at her first run back from a spell when 6th here last week. She will be fitter for that run and is drawn to run a big race. DELIGHTFULREACTION (1) was gunned down late in that event and has options from the pole. BALCATHERINE (10) is drawn to get a nice sit off what is likely to be a hot speed and can be dangerous late. TYPHOON TIFF (5) broke at release at her last start but is expected to push forward here and should be thereabouts. Tips: 2 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: BALCATHERINE (10) each way. Race 7 IDEAL INVESTMENT (1) led throughout in 1.57.8 from this draw three starts back and a repeat performance will see him hard to catch. SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (3) hasn’t had much luck at his last few starts and will make his presence felt tonight. BETTOR BE OSCAR (8) is flying and has won his last three on end but has a tough draw to overcome. MAJOR SHARD (2) is racing fairly and looks a place chance from this draw. Tips: 1 3 8 2 Suggested Bet: IDEAL INVESTMENT (1) to win. Race 8 THE BIRD DANCE (10) has won eight of his past 11 starts and was ultra-impressive in overcoming a 30m handicap to win in very quick time on Monday. He is suited by the small field and looks the one to beat. DIVINIA BELLEZZA (3) crosses the Tasman with solid form and should be right in the finish if she handles the stand conditions. SEMIRAMIDE (1) was an upset winner of the Races For Roses last week and must be considered from the pole. BETTOR PACK IT (6) led and ran 3rd in that race and can play a part. Tips: 10 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: THE BIRD DANCE (10) to win. Race 9 ADVANCE YOUR DREAM (4) ran two nice placings before having no luck when posted at her last start. She is drawn inside her main rivals here and can push forward at the start and will be hard to beat if she finds the front. BLUE CHIP ADDA (7) is an improving type who ran a nice 7th in the WA Oaks and will be charging home. SUING YOU (5) is always dangerous with the right run and looks the other main winning chance. RUN FOR MERCY (8) is racing well but the draw will make it tough. Tips: 4 7 5 8 Suggested Bet: ADVANCE YOUR DREAM (4) to win. Race 10 MIGHTY RONALDO (1) was impressive at his last start when a dominant winner at this track. He goes up in class tonight but that is offset by the pole draw and he looks the one to beat. LAVRA JOE (7) has won five of his last six starts and has the strength to overcome the wide draw. ADDA SOMETHING (2) couldn’t get into the race when 8th to LAVRA JOE (7) last start but should settle in a handy position and won’t be far away. ROBBIE ROCKET (4) was a good 2nd to LAVRA JOE (7) last start and can be in the money again. Tips: 1 7 2 4 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY RONALDO (1) to win. Market Market
