The Scout: FA Cup Final Posted on July 30, 2020August 1, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Arsenal vs Chelsea Sunday 2nd August, 12.30am WST The FA Cup will be lifted by a London side as cross-city rivals Arsenal and Chelsea do battle at Wembley Stadium. Arsenal’s path to the Final came via a shock 2-0 win over Manchester City while Chelsea were dominant in their 3-1 drubbing of Manchester United. It has been a solid 12 months for Chelsea who (somewhat unexpectedly) finished top four in the Premier League, 10 points clear of Arsenal. In contrast to their rivals, Arsenal had a horror season in the Premier League; their worst in 25 years in fact! They finished with just 14 wins and never really looked like pushing into the top four. The two teams met twice through the season with Chelsea winning the first clash 2-1 in December, before a 2-2 draw in January. A clearer picture of this second matchup can be seen on the stat sheet however, with Chelsea owning 58% of the possession and getting off a staggering 22 shots (nine on target) to Arsenal’s two (both clearly on target). This Chelsea side boast a great combination of youth and experience. When it comes to that experience, the whole squad will be looking to Olivier Giroud, who has picked up a massive seven medals at Wembley, including four FA Cups. The French striker is in form and has established himself as the go-to spearhead of the Chelsea attack, scoring seven times in his last 10 appearances. Chelsea have been dominant in the FA Cup this season eliminating Liverpool (2-0), Leicester (1-0) and Manchester United en route to the Final. Their two most recent wins against against Wolves and United were simply too good to ignore and I think they’ll be lifting the FA Cup trophy for a ninth time. Suggested Bet: Match Result Chelsea @ $2.08* Suggested Bet: Oliver Giroud Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.65* *Odds correct as at 3pm, 30th July 2020. Market Market
