The Scout: Euro 2024 Matchday 6 Posted on June 19, 2024June 19, 2024 | Posted by The Scout Group B – Croatia v Albania Croatia need to overcome the shellshock from their 3-0 defeat to Spain and get a result from this contest. Their aging midfield is unlikely to change with Luka Modric critical to turning things around. A shift to central defence for Josko Gvardiol is one option for coach Zlatko Delic who has said that Croatia “have to win” the game. Albania gave a very good account of themselves in their opener against Italy, going down 2-1. The talented Jasir Asani missed training due to an ankle issue but is expected to recover in time. Nedim Bajrami opened the scoring last time out, and now has two goals and two assists in his last three international appearances. DRAW @ $4.60* Group A – Germany v Hungary Germany have been one of the most impressive sides so far as they beat Scotland 5-1 in the tournament opener. They are expected to go into the Hungary game with an unchanged starting lineup, meaning Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz can continue to excite from wide areas. Defensively, the Germans look solid despite conceding an own goal last time out. There were high hopes for Hungary coming into the tournament, however a defeat to Switzerland means there is work to do. Loic Nego or Callum Styles missed that game through injury but may return to play a part off the bench. Captain Dominik Szoboszlai provided the assist for Barnabas Varga’s goal against the Swiss, though more is needed from the Liverpool playmaker. Germany WIN @ $1.22* Group A – Scotland v Switzerland A catastrophic first half saw Scotland crumble against Germany, and they will be without defender Ryan Porteous following his red card. Grant Hanley is the likely replacement. If the Scots look to improve their possession of the ball, Billy Gilmour is the obvious choice to come into midfield. Che Adams cut an isolated figure last Friday night but should start up front again ahead of Lawrence Shankland. Switzerland looked excellent for the most part as they beat Hungary 3-1. Breel Embolo found the net after coming off the bench, and he is pushing for more minutes on the park. It remains to be seen whether injured duo Denis Zakaria and Steven Zuber are fit enough to return just yet. With that said, coach Murat Yakin should stick with the same starting eleven. Switzerland WIN @ $1.77* Multi Croatia v Albania – Both teams to score – Yes Germany – Win Switzerland – Win @ $4.55* *Odds correct as at 10am, 19th June 2024 Market Market
