The Scout: EPL Matchday 5 Posted on September 13, 2019September 13, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Liverpool vs Newcastle 14th September, 7.30pm WST Liverpool will look to pick up where they left off before the international break; the only perfect team left in the Premier League, they’ll be looking to extend their 25 game unbeaten streak at Anfield. Newcastle are sitting 14th on the Premier League table with one win, a draw and two losses. Despite the record, the Magpies have looked solid defensively, highlighted by their upset 1-0 away win over Tottenham two weeks ago. Liverpool can’t be faulted through four games of the season, scoring 12 goals while conceding just three. Although their defensive efforts have been questioned, Liverpool looked back to their impregnable best last match at Burnley. Fill-in keeper Adrian looked settled, while Robertson, Alexander-Arnold and van Dijk smothered the Burnley forwards. The Magpies have struggled in attack with just three goals so far this season and the task doesn’t get any easier here against a Liverpool outfit desperate to consolidate top spot on the table. Suggested Bet: Liverpool Win To Nil @ $1.78* Bournemouth vs Everton 15th September, 9pm WST The international break looks well timed for 15th placed Bournemouth who have lost their last two matches. Both losses were 3-1 defeats with the Cherries only managing to take four points from their opening four Premier League fixtures. Everton have had an up-and-down start to their Premier League campaign, but a fantastic 3-2 win over Wolves last matchday sees them nicely placed at 6th on the table. Goals have been plentiful in Bournemouth’s games this season, with both teams scoring in all four, and three games seeing 3+ goals. Both teams here possess potent attacks and I’m expecting much of the same. Everton showed a glimpse of what they’re capable of last match with three goals against a strong Wolves defense. New signing Alex Iwobi found the back of the net, while the class of Richarlison was on full display with two of his own. The forecast for this fixture is goals, goals and more goals! The last time these teams met at Vitality Stadium it was an exciting 2-2 match. I’m tipping the same again. Suggested Bet: Total Goals Over +2.5 @ $1.73* Watford vs Arsenal 15th September, 11.30 WST After a horrendous start to the season, bottom placed Watford have axed manager Javi Garcia, replacing him with Quique Sanchez Flores. Hornets fans will be hoping for an immediate impact, at the very least an addition to their dismal tally of one point. Arsenal are sitting comfortably in 6th place despite taking just one point from their last two fixtures against Liverpool and Tottenham. The issue for Arsenal last season was that it often felt like there was no support for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The signings of Nicolas Pépé and Daniel Ceballos have added a new dimension to their attack, which is now unquestionably one of the most dangerous in all of England. Watford have only managed two goals in four Premier League fixtures, conceding eight at the same time. That’s good for the worst offense in the League and the third worst defense. Compounding matters for the Hornets is the absence of captain Troy Deeney who was responsible for nine goals and five assists last season. The Gunners have won five of their last six trips to Vicarage Road and I expect them to continue this trend. Suggested Bet: Match Result Arsenal @ $1.93* *Odds correct as at 12.50pm, 13th September 2019. Market Market
