Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 21, 2026April 21, 2026 | Posted by Ethan Roth Race 1 Difficult opener, HEAVENLY BLISS (1) looks the potential lead over the shorter trip, but she is racing below her best and looks vulnerable late in races, still should lead and be there abouts. MAJOR BUZZ (7) has the most upside in this race I think, he’s now third up from a freshen up and is versatile enough in this, last run was decent and think he will be hard to hold out. GEARSINAWHIRL (2) should settle close to them but hasn’t won a race since June 2019! VISITING HOURS (12) has high speed and will be running on well but needs some luck with the big field. SONIC CHIP (11) could improve second up. KARAOKE STAR (9) faces a tough draw but has improved with the stable change recently. SMOKEYS SHADOW (8) is very hard to catch, and BLIND EDITION (5) was better last run, but his rocky nature isn’t easy to follow. Tips: 7 12 1 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR BUZZ (7) each way. Race 2 MONEY WELL SPENT (1) has the draw to lead but was beaten but wasn’t disgraced in defeat at Narrogin on Saturday night and would’ve won some admirers coming into this. STIRUP IRON JACK (6) likely to be up outside the speed and keeping them honest, can get keen. BEALAWYER (3) not quite at his best but could get a good run here. HUGHEY (4) has an awkward draw with ZUEDE (7) who are both get back and run home types. VINNIES STAR (9) might get left wide in this as the map looks awkward for him. DARE TO LIE (11) will run on and has come back soundly and MASTER REMI (12) will also run on and is starting to show more consistency. Tips: 1 3 11 12 Suggested Bet : MONEY WELL SPENT (1) to win. Race 3 This first three races have given me a headache. GALVINSTON JOHN (1) looks the leader and can be a fiery type, middle distance isn’t as suitable for him, but he does like to lead. SALSAWITHSIERRA (10) is likely to get a good run and with any luck be dangerous late. TOMMY PRICE (5) and BLITZAR (6) are both ready to win but faces tricky draws, the latter can do some work in his race, and both must be respected. STRIKE MASTER (2) is very consistent and has drawn in close but isn’t known for his early brilliance. SWITCH BLADE (4) consistent but might have to do some work to get forward and could be shuffled back. MAJOR MANHATTAN (11) has trialled up soundly for this. BY GEE BY JINGO (3) and GELSOMINO AMAL (9) are capable but their respective draws are challenging. Tips: 10 5 6 2 Suggested Bet: SALSAWITHSIERRA (10) each way. Race 4 ITS MAA TIME (8) trialled up well for this and looked sharp, she is an outstanding talent and should get the job done in her return run for Aiden De Campo. HOLD THE AMMO (6) must be respected as he has plenty of talent but hasn’t caught the eye in trials, respect him on return. HEEZ GOOD AS GOLD (2) can use his speed and lead early and has options and looks a novelty chance. MISS UNEEK (4) is capable but looks a tricky map for her. ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (10), SUGAR STREET (11) and SOUND WAVE (12) will be running on well from their back row draws. Tips: 8 12 2 6 Suggested Bet: HEEZ GOOD AS GOLD (2) to place. Race 5 DOUGS LEGACY (1) has the nice draw and looks to have found another suitable race to win, gate speed is okay and looks a big chance to lead and be hard to run down. SVENN (10) has only had the one run and is expected to perform well from the good draw, respect. WORLD OF ROCK (3) has good early speed and could have a little look, continuing the improvement since coming back and could run in the money. ARISE LAZARUS (4) has a tricky draw as he rises in grade, respect with the right run. DAWSON SHARD (9) going well enough but barrier nine is difficult. Tips: 1 10 3 4 Suggested Bet: DOUGS LEGACY (1) to win. Race 6 BEAUDIENE HUNTER (8) is a nice type who will work through the grades, bumps into a few nice ones but looks versatile and highly talented, will be hard to beat. LOU LAMOUR (5) returns and came on strongly towards the end of his last prep, has the speed to lead and has options, would be more confident with a run under his belt. THE BETTOR SIDE (9) had no luck last time out, prior form was consistent and looks a strong place chance. FLYING FELIX (6) a novelty chance with MYSTA MOON WALKER (4) who could improve. Tips: 8 5 9 6 Suggested Bet: BEAUDIENE HUNTER (8) to win. Race 7 METHUSELAH (3) has talent, has the draw on return to push forward and be dominant and looks set to win on return at the short quote. MANUKA BAY (7) creates a lot of interest on debut from the Team Bond stable, first run of any note in WA and even Australia. PARAGLIDER (10) was a decent return, has a soft draw and will be running on strongly if the gaps open at the right time. MISS TRIBECA (1) is a novelty chance from the good draw with BOUGIE (8) and SHERICKA (12). Tips: 3 7 10 8 Suggested Bet: PARAGLIDER (10) to place. Race 8 PATCHED (8) can overcome the 60m with his ability to fly away and make ground, he can win the race a few ways and happy to still be with him off the handicap. BEE BEE BEROC (2) looks the potential leader and will give them something to catch, much better when he can lead. MYSTERY FRED (6) comes to WA with solid Vic form and will be dangerous in this, has done most of his racing in a mobile though. YANKEE LOVER (7) wasn’t a bad debut for the new stable, respect that he can run on again. SUGA DADDY (3) beat PATCHED (8) three starts ago but form since hasn’t been encouraging. Tips: 8 2 6 7 Suggested Bet: PATCHED (8) to win. Race 9 LETS RATTLNROLL (3) has come back well and has a lot of high speed, has a few options here but does look hard to beat in the race, was run down last start and may be better suited saved for one run but still has options. QUEEN OF ALL (2) is nicely drawn on return and has shown promise, respect in this and market will tell you more. AZIONE (5) has shown some promise but has drawn to their disadvantage and might need a few things go his way. ROCKNROLL DILINGER (8) is a novelty chance. Tips: 3 2 5 8 Suggested Bet: LETS RATTLNROLL (3) to win. Market Market
