Glenn Ingram’s Wednesday Geelong Preview Posted on April 21, 2026April 21, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 This race looks a simple equation for MARSEPT leading off the inside returning to maiden grade, she was impressive at the trials and again on race-day at Caulfield behind a smart filly. Any cut in the track would further enhance her winning chance. UPOLU caught the eye in a recent jumpout on the home track and should run well. WEASEL SEA has gate speed to be prominent and HARRY DE LAD in among outside chances for minor money. Selections: 8,5,7,2 Suggested Bet: MARSEPT win RACE 2 Easy to like what the debutant ENEA has been doing at the jumpouts, a ready-made 2YO in the Price/Kent stable and sure to be wound up stepping out for the first time, good draw, top jock, hard to beat. PURSUIT won a recent Cranbourne jumpout ridden out wearing blinkers and looks to have some ability. SAYALERO is an improver at her 2nd race campaign, she’s on the small side and time will help, jumpouts suggest she can run a race fresh. PRIME PATTERN was in the market at Sandown and disappointing last start, could bounce back. Selections: 1,4,9,3 Suggested Bet: ENEA win RACE 3 GEESEVEN debuted on a wet track at Pakenham, winner progressed since and has jumped out well to return, finds a very moderate race first-up. Hard to make a case for those with race experience, jumpouts no great guide on debutant ROYAL MAXIMUS will appreciate further. STRANGETHINGDESIRE would need a market push and WARREGO has M Zahra but did little here last time out. Selections: 5,6,7,8 Suggested Bet: GEESEVEN win RACE 4 KIWI JENNI was impressive in defeat on debut when a fast-finishing 2nd at Hamilton and spelled. Two jumpouts to return for new trainer Ciaron Maher, improved in a recent jumpout, in a low maiden race she looks clear horse to beat. LE PLUS RAPIDE came sharply back in trip to stick on at Terang on the bog, should have a fitness advantage. SOLDIER BOI impressed in a recent Ballarat jumpout, hard to make a strong case for anything else. Selections: 10,1,5,4 Suggested Bet: KIWI JENNI win RACE 5 Tricky race, smallish field, HOT CHIPS should get a soft lead and has the map advantage over ETERNAL who will follow her everywhere, Zahra aboard for this partial class drop, hard to beat with any luck. YOOMEE WONDER is racing well, will give them a start and need to get going early. IGOTCHA can run a race first-up, jumped out well and easiest race she’s contested for some time. Selections: 2,1,4,5 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 6 Hardest race of the day. Going wide in the quaddie. DANTOOINE looks to control the tempo, worked to the lead but no match in a fast race last start, softer draw helps and C Pang claims 3kg. BRUTALINA may kick up on the inside with apprentice Olivia East and inject more speed. WINNING TOAST can be slow out but has a good finish, if they go quick it brings him into contention second-up. Local ALBANIAN I AM also worth considering first-up with the race shape. Selections: 1,3,6,2 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 7 JUSTIQUE was impressive here winning on debut when going to the front, ridden back from a wide gate last start she made no impression in the straight, another wide draw, a COT will be important. MOVE THE TORANA is on the 7-day back-up and can race handy to a moderate speed, should get every chance if good enough. DELTA SKY gets a sharp class drop, 39 days between runs so fitness a query, big market watch. ZEACTION has drawn well to be in the finish first-up. Selections: 12,11,10,14 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 8 On a dry surface the progressive WINGSANDPROPELLERS can keep winning, rode a fast speed at Stawell and kept finding, staying at 1100m so no reason he can’t make the rise in grade. MRS IGLESIA has a beautiful map tucked in behind a good speed, she doesn’t win alot but sure to be in the finish. DEEPFLOAT DIVA has been jumping out well to return, the speed is on but will need luck from the draw. BALLYNACALLY would need some rain to show her best. Selections: 4,11,3,6 Suggested Bet: WINGSANDPROPELLERS win Market Market
