War Of Whispers Horses To Follow: Extreme Dreams and War Of Whispers R2 – Perth Racing Twitter Handicap (1600m) The addition of blinkers and a solid race tempo aided The Flirt who settled back before running away over the final stages. Crystal Gardens was doing her best work late but was never a threat to the winner. TAB favourite: Crystal Gardens $3.40 & $1.60. Disappointing: Happy With Kendel compounded to last after leading. The Flirt R3 – Perthracing.com.au Maiden (1400m) Peggy Sue put the writing on the wall last start when a narrow second to Rocket Queen and she backed up brilliantly, justifying her favouritism. The Monaco Consul filly, given a charmed run by Chris Parnham, was coiled up behind them before letting down strongly. TAB favourite: Peggy Sue $3.00 & $1.40. What winner’s said: Brent Albuino-Her first up run was huge and I went in with confidence. Fastest 600m: 35.47sec. Peggy Sue R4 – Sponsor A Race-Contact Perth Racing Handicap (2200m) Gracie May, after two previous placings, raced away for a decisive victory. Giving Chris Parnham, the second leg of a double, she sat off the speed and was saved for one final run. Royal Supreme gave chase but was never a serious threat. TAB favourite: Royal Supreme $2.70 & $1.30 Disappointing: Miss Gelana was last on straightening and beat just one to the line. Gracie May R5 – Perth Racing Instagram Handicap (1200m) A late reprieve from first emergency, Travellin, paid off when he put paid to his rivals with an easy win, his first at the distance. TAB favourite: Travellin $3.60 &$1.60 Disappointing: Ominous Warning was up with the leader but ran out of the placings. Red Paddy Horses To Follow: Young John, Red Paddy and Scarlet Speedster R6 – Perth Racing Facebook Handicap (1200m) A classy all the way win from Cool Passion who stepped up to city grade with consummate ease, giving Justin Warwick and his jockey daughter, Lucy, the second leg of a double.
