Scott Embry’s Tuesday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 2, 2026November 2, 2026 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 ANDERSHINE was really well supported at his third run of his career, after a string of luckless runs from shocking barriers. He again caught the eye late and through the line, giving the impression that he would relish 1600m. Thought he safely had main rival Diver Dan covered over the concluding stages of that event at 1400m and looks a big chance of breaking through here. DIVER DAN has been kept safe in betting at each of his three WA runs and should land 1×1. PRETEY ROYAL has had her fair share of chances (start #32) but was baulked at a key moment last start in that same form race. KALLAHTI can roll to the top and give some cheek at odds. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – ANDERSHINE WIN Race 2 PERFECT SCORE was just held tight on straightening first-up in a really slowly run and ugly event. Satin Bow was able to work her way to the top and then threw the anchor to the point where there was a four and five deep train at stages. Fingers crossed she can get across from her wide alley because between her barrier trial and first-up run she’s put the writing on the wall for a victory. HOLD MY WINE was badly held up in a C2 at Kalgoorlie last start and looked to have a bit to offer. He has always trialled super and then not gone on with it at the races. OPEN THROTTLE was one of those ugly watches last start caught out in the Golf Course at stages down the back straight. Debut run was really good and then second-up was luckless. THE STALAGMITE finds this easier than running into Moose / Tex N Cee at Bunbury. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 5 – 9 Suggested Bet – PERFECT SCORE WIN Race 3 (Best Bet) BOLTA is one of the more talented horses in the region. Between himself and Tony Scally’s other pair Snippety Legend and Scurgeofthewest there’s going to be a fair few trips down to Perth this year as they get weighted out of c70+ Grade. Trialled super, Tash rides, drawn well – logical. LUCKLEE FLORAN has just been a completely different horse over the last 12 months since they put a set of blinkers on him. He never looked like being run down last start when Jefferson Tsang rode him for speed and allowed him to stride and now with only 51kg of Jason Li on his back expect they’ll look to do the same. ONEMORETWOMANY looks better suited back to 1100m and draws to stalk. GOLD KEEPER is racing below his best so far this season. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – BOLTA WIN Race 4 GYPSY RHYME joins the stables of Barry Newnham and is the winner of 2 from 4 so far in her short career. She led and won a 1200m maiden (beating Basset Hound) and then she won a C3 (beating Hedawood). This is a really nice race for her if she can cross and she’s got speed to burn early. Has been a little all or nothing so far in her life but this is a great race for her in a Country C2. ANNIE WARBUCKS is a last start winner of a C1 1100. She’ll concede them a big head start so will be reliant on the leaders tiring. BESTON STREET absolutely bolted in last start to break his maiden by nearly 5L. LEONARDO DA GREY gets back into C2 company after two solid runs first-up and second-up in 58+ Grade behind In Situ and Champeze. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – GYPSY RHYME WIN Race 5 TRULY GALLANT hasn’t had anything go his way recently and now stepping up in grade to get weight relief and Tash Faithfull might just be the trick. Really good first-up over an unsuitable 1200, really good second-up under 61.5kg and then never on the track third-up in a forgive. Going well and in the three deep moving line looks a nice spot for him in running. FORBIDDEN APPLE has really turned a corner this season. She’s loading better, she’s travelling better and she’s built back nearly all the trust that punters lost with her. Going super. VIVAROK won first-up at 1600m under 61kg. He’s right on track for a tilt at the Walkaway Cup again. CANTILEVER is versatile and may have to go back here? Numbers: 4 – 5 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRULY GALLANT WIN Race 6 NOBLE TOUCH goes from 3kg claimer to Tash Faithfull and in a field of this size and evenness should still nearly be eachway which would be a luxury. Has thrived on being allowed to stride recently and was still there with 100m to go last start in a testing 1619m race. Back in distance to 1400m suits, just needs to get across early from the outside alley. ALDEZOR won his first two races in WA and then seemingly didn’t stay the trip last time out? Back to 1400m could suit him as well. ARCHENEMY is a talent but can be a bit wayward. Outside gate and 61kg are real levellers. AMARLIE MISS has been screaming out for further and now gets to a far more suitable 1400m. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – NOBLE TOUCH WIN Race 7 CHAMPEZE beat him last start and only meets him 1kg worse at the weights. She burst through impressively and was held up until the 200. See no reason why she can’t win again here for a very much in form Allan Hughes yard. She’ll be eachway, In Situ will be straight out. IN SITU had to sit wide throughout under 59kg last start when gobbled up late by Champeze. He lost no admirers and immediately you thought you’d be with him wherever he goes next, and it’s a possibility that he’s wide throughout under 60kg here and likely to go around $2.10/$2.20? Could be vulnerable again. DEEP DISCRETION can continue to work her way through the grades this preparation. Never missed top 2 track/distance after 7 attempts and maps a treat. SAFE HUSTLE is building. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – CHAMPEZE EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,4,5 1,4,5 1,2,7,11 2,4,8
