Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on December 3, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DROP THE ORANGE was nearly dropped at the 700 last start when copping a check and blundering off heels. Never in the race there after. Forgive and forget he went round and stepping to the staying trip he should prove hard to beat. ORASKY copped the same interference and finished off well late in the piece. DREAMY ALICE has been consistent all campaign. JOLLY ODD can control the race from the front. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – DROP THE ORANGE WIN Race 2 BLONDE WARRIOR steps up sharply in trip which is a natural query but off her two runs to date and her trials this preparation she should be able to find the front for the first time in her career and prove hard to run down. Fourth to Cuballing, London Miss and River Beau on debut who have all won since, then finished off well last start. GOODBYFEDS worked hard last week into the breeze before fading. If he can box seat there is a cutaway on offer. ANGEL WHISPER was held tight for a vast majority of the race at his most recent. MAGIC EMPIRES is a perennial place getter returning to the races. Trialed nicely. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – BLONDE WARRIOR WIN Race 3 JAKESTAR has gone down by the narrowest of margins at both career runs. On debut was big when chasing Red Warrior and beating home subsequent maiden and Saturday winner We’ve Got Dreams. Last start was brave in defeat when run down by River Beau. Senior rider aboard, drawn to lead, hard to run down. GINGER MACK will go round at a big price but has shown glimpses of ability at trials and in races. No surprise to see him run a big race fresh. ICE TRADE was big first-up and then had excuses at Albany. Stable on absolute fire. OBSTINATION back into maiden company will again have plenty of supporters. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – JAKESTAR WIN Race 4 BEDOUINE BELLE gets a wonderful opportunity to open her winning account this campaign. Put the writing on the wall a fortnight ago when charging home into fourth from a different suburb on the corner to Cuballing, Missing Pro and Nobelium. That form looks strong and Kristy Bennett is drawn to sit leader’s back and shoot up the cutaway. OLIVIA KNOWS caught the eye at her first start for Ken Adams and should find this a lot easier than her most recent 66+ assignment. SWEET DREAMIN’ almost knocked off Silkinize last start and has always shown ability when in the care of Holly Locke. GRAND DESIGN is just mixing her form a touch at the minute and David Harrison is trying a few different things with her race pattern. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – BEDOUINE BELLE WIN Race 5 BEAUTY KANAS has had six starts in WA: 64+, 60+, 60+, 64+, 64+ and 60+. Dropping into a C3 fresh, drawn the cutaway she should be a big player and may get under the radar. TAWNY PETE never really looked comfortable first-up at Ascot. He was only fairly away and then was all at sea. His trial before hand was sound and Mitch Pateman heads to Bunbury for one ride. Can lead, can win. VELAGO is impossible to tip. He could win by panels, he could keep the ambulance company. You just don’t know. PATRISTIC has ability and should land a prominent position from the gate. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – BEAUTY KANAS EACHWAY Race 6 RIVER BEAU made his debut in a hot form race (Cuballing, London Miss) and then improved sharply second-up when winning. He did things wrong and he did things tough on that occasion and was still able to reel in Jakestar. If he can take natural improvement again and race more tractably this looks a nice race. SOLARIZE will take catching if Harry Grace can find the front on him. GESSATO sits midfield and draws a nice alley to get a run through them. BANJO MAN has put in two bottlers this preparation but draws sticky here. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – RIVER BEAU WIN Race 7 MR KUNAFA is progressing through the grades nicely and looks a promising stayer in the making for Bruce Watkins in-form stable. Debut win sat off the course beating home subsequent winners Superstorm and Tollman. Luckless at his second career start when held up at crucial stages and bounced back last start when ridden a treat to track conditions by Whiting. YOU AM I can’t draw a gate but he is racing consistently. HYPERSPACE is a month between runs and up in trip but previous form was solid. RAYARNIE could be left alone in front. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – MR KUNAFA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,4,5,7 1,2,6,7 1,4,5,7 1 Market Market
