Everyone will remember her last start at 1400m when beaten just over a length in the Sheila Gwynne behind Angelic Ruler, Flower of War and Festival Miss. Was then 6 weeks between runs and back to 1000m when solid in third and last start found trouble before savaging the line in a hot 3yo 62+ behind Mood Swings, Bright Diamond and Boomtastic. Can roll forward to breeze and looks the one. BEAT THE BRO beat Giant Leap and expect that gelding to open ~$1.28 on Thursday. Strong form and cutaway on offer. NATIVE CHIMES on the 7 day back up sure to have admirers. MISSALFIE going well but continues to run into more talented rivals. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – LA VINA WIN Race 2 MORE has only had the one trial leading into the first-up run and that was a 400m jump out but was nominated and accepted to race June 27th when scratched with a minor mouth cut. The trial over 950m at Lark Hill in Feb was super and the horses who beat her home all have talent. SHIRL’S DREAM is speedy and expecting Noske to let him roll at his WA debut. JANAURA can either lead or box seat behind Shirl’s Dream and take the cutaway run. BYE FELECIA improves out of the debut effort. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – MORE WIN Race 3 CONTINUANCE has been excellent at both career starts. On debut in a Saturday 1000m scamper tracked through and ran home nicely behind Born to Rule before only being gunned down late by Magical Dream last start with subsequent impressive Saturday winner Snickerdoodledandy in third. Form speaks for itself and now Pike jumps aboard. CHOICE BID really ran them along first-up over 1200m. Looks better suited at the flying 1000 and no surprise to see him give serious cheek. GUARDED didn’t have blinkers on in the most recent trial and it was still impressive. Gelded and talented. KATIE MISSILE trialed well enough to run a race. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – CONTINUANCE WIN Race 4 DUNE MESSIAH was a very soft and impressive trial when defeating talented but wayward Gangemi gelding Notorious One. The horse who ran third in the trial Atilla’s Dream has won a trial since to make the trial look that little bit more impressive. Has run into some reasonably good maidens in his time including We’ve Got Dreams, Marlize, Western Chant and Jakestar so off the back of that trial win no surprise to see him run a race at a price. UNIVERSAL ANGEL was accepted and scratched three times when last in work and did a lot wrong in a recent trial. Clearly talented. SOUND AWAKE has done absolutely nothing wrong in two outings and should run well again. GINGER MACK can box seat and take the cutaway. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – DUNE MESSIAH EACHWAY Race 5 BEDOUIN BELLE is a consistent mare who normally puts in a run fresh. She has finished in the money at 9 of her 17 outings and has a further five fourth placings to add to that tally; rarely far from the winner. Is a 60+ Graduation winner resuming in a C3 race and from the draw should settle midfield with cover. SEMIGEL really came of age late last preparation. Finally broke through beating River Beau before an impressive fourth in a 3yo Saturday race behind Cliffs of Comfort, River Beau and Tommy Blue. Gets back but cutaway means they fan. WEST FIFTY FOURTH gets big weight relief with Laqdar Ramoly going on. GUNFLINT is appreciating being ridden for pure speed. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – BEDOUIN BELLE EACHWAY Race 6 ABELDANE gets a start with the scratching of Smoking Barrel. Dominated from the front last start and has always promised to burst onto the scene and replicate the feats of older sibling and WA cult hero Kirov Boy. Remarkably ran the fastest final 200m split of the race after leading and will stay all day. THE LAST BREEZE has his first attempt at a staying trip but has been in arguably career best form since winning back in February with placings behind Tradensia, Avalon Bay and Bold Success. Backs up off 7 days and the Pateman/Pope combination is always worth respecting. QUEEN TAKES KING looks to have X-Factor and will have the cutaway run present itself. BEANIE was huge last start and Paul Harvey goes on. Numbers: 11 – 2 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – ABELDANE EACHWAY Race 7 AL MAHALO and HOOLAHOOPS are both lightly raced 3 year olds and last start maiden winners who will dominate the market. Siding with AL MAHALO who should be able to position up a pair in front of Hoolahoops and has been able to sustain impressive runs at his last two. HOOLAHOOPS won well last start and that maiden has already produced Western Rhythm since. Her first-up run when plunged was brilliant in defeat. FAIR GLORY was a sharp improver last week with Pateman going on. SAFETY BAY going well but draw hurts. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – AL MAHALO WIN Race 8 THE ESCORT was working three deep the trip no cover in a race where they were marching mid-race last time out. The overall race time some 4L faster than average and he was doing all the work. From the draw can settle in the box set and take the cutaway. LAUFEY is 7.5 weeks between runs but extremely well placed in this grade. If he produces his best, he could win by a space. BEAT THE BELL is flying but will have almost an entire field in front of her turning for home. BOLD SUCCESS isn’t known as a leader but there is very little speed in this and Chloe Azzopardi goes on.
