Has been slowly away at every trial and each of his two race starts. Always going to be a risky betting proposition when you’re looking at a horse who can do things wrong but if he can muster his way through them to find the top, or park outside of Firey Panz if crossed, then he’s found another winnable race. SWIM THROUGH is a two time winner in this grade previously (DQ’d from one) and is a winner with 60kg under Paul Harvey. He’s a very handy little sprinter and looks the testing material. BIRD’S THE WORD is a winner and trialled well. COSTUME PARTY won first-up no trial over 1000m at Belmont last preparation. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – GO GO GROMMET WIN RACE 2 BONDI PLUNGE went into every blackbook on debut when running around under pressure finishing third behind Snow Prince and Auspicious. Was an alarming late drifter at her second start dropping back to 1000m and was chasing from a long way out. Think the first two from that race (Eliteone and Sass Machine) go pretty good and she’s always looked like a 1200m Belmont Park type of filly. Senior back on and finds herself in what is effectively a 2yo maiden. FINE LINE was well supported at odds on debut and never really got comfortable. Hard to ignore her sharp 400m jump out. IMA WILD GIRL has race experience and a tongue tie going on. PARIS CALLING trialled well enough. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – BONDI PLUNGE WIN RACE 3 DIVINE QUEST looks your ideal cutaway racing horse. She’s got a short, sharp burst of speed which is perfectly suited to sitting leader’s back in a moderately run race and then zipping up the inside on straightening. Her recent efforts in Westspeed Platinum races are easily good enough to pinch this moderate C3. PILOTE is unlikely to have much of a following given his Geraldton form but thought his last effort behind Patchwork was really encouraging and he’ll only get better over further. Keep safe. ARCADIA STAR has shades re-attached and has been going well in tougher. MANAVENDRA chased hard behind Mack Mack in a 0MWLY and drops back into a C3. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DIVINE QUEST EACHWAY RACE 4 SENTIMENTAL BELLE has always shown plenty of promise and here’s hoping that this is the preparation where she can start to put it all together. On debut she ran a strong second to Vampi At Play and then went to the paddock. First-up last preparation she struck one of the hottest Northam maidens you’ll see (Upper Limits, Ex Sport Girl, Admiration Express) and at her second-up run she went shin sore. Wide draw makes things interesting but she looks to have some upside. THE RUSH has the barrier to work with and the tactical speed to take full advantage of it. Logical danger on paper and should prove hard to get past late. EBONY’S ACE didn’t come up last preparation. 2 year old form was good. NYET has been freshened and comes back to 1200. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – SENTIMENTAL BELLE WIN RACE 5 UNCLE GERARD gets one last chance with the shades going on for the first time. He’s a horse with raw ability but wobbles around like a drunk in the home straight. Second to Climb On Top (subsequent C1 winner) and second to seemingly talented 3 year old Triple Jay. Drawn to enjoy a good run and hoping that the blinkers can straighten him up. TRULY AWESOME comes through the same race behind Triple Jay where they went 3L faster than maiden average. Expecting it to hold up as a form reference and be popular with punters. Cutaway looks a suitable draw for her. PRINCESS MILLI trialled nicely for her return. HEAVENLY LADY gets a similar run to her debut when running well. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – UNCLE GERARD WIN RACE 6 LORD AUGUSTUS is a hard horse to catch but he has a solid turn of foot when he turns up. Thinking that the cutaway for a horse like him is a positive and if he can reproduce his barnstorming third behind Katona (subsequent 60+ winner) and China Sprit it makes him a live chance in an open race. TRIPLE JAY returned a gelding and returned a winner in a maiden that is expected to hold up as a form reference. Lands in a forward spot and takes running down. Think it’s probably a smart option to go to a C3 with 57.5kg rather than a C1 and carry 60. SPLIT JETE is looking for three straight and maps to get a gun run. DADIRRA returns without a trial. She’s a mare with a turn of foot. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – LORD AUGUSTUS EACHWAY RACE 7 ONE COOL GAL has been given 3 weeks to get over the high speed, high pressure mile behind Catch These Hands and subsequent winners Mack Mack and Rusty Dreams. Drops from 1600 back to 1200, gains the services of William Pike and all of a sudden is back down to the exact same rating that she started the preparation (m60) when winning a 3yo 0MWLY. Looks one of many, many chances in an extremely open race. CLIMB ON TOP is doing everything right and is looking to remain undefeated at start number three. Great use of the Luke Campbell claim. BONJOY is a talented filly who can park in the three deep line and work home. Loved her trial. TALLANGATTA was a really good run without any luck fresh over what looked an unsuitable trip. Numbers: 11 – 2 – 12 – 3 Suggested Bet – ONE COOL GAL EACHWAY RACE 8 ROCK THIS TOWN is quick and will look to fire across from the outside gate and cross them. Think he’s got more than sufficient early toe to do so and from there he’ll look to run them ragged. Comes into this fresh 77 days between runs and has the concussion plates removed. Jump and run 1000m type. FINAL AUTHORITY has his first start for Team Gangemi and returns to the races as a gelding. He showed plenty of glimpses for his previous yard and should be a handy acquisition. WITCH STREET can sit midfield and shoot up the cutaway. Query her form out of the Great Southern but hard to ignore the trial. TRIONFANTE finds this easier than her first-up run behind Snippenova and Go Go Grommet. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 9 – 6 Suggested Bet – ROCK THIS TOWN WIN RACE 9 FEDERATION ROCKS resumed off a handy trial behind Rear Admiral/Keep Attacking/China Spirit/She’s A Sweet Deel when working home into fourth behind Katona (subsequent Saturday winner). Drops from a C3 back into a C1, is drawn to get a lovely run tracking the speed and has the cutaway run on offer if required. Nice race for him. LIFE OF BRIAN is clearly still a work in progress. When the penny drops, he’s going to make a nice Saturday horse. Only going to get better with racing. MOJO’S LUCK has strong race form and trialled well behind a couple of speedy 1000m horses. Nice starting point for him. COVERT ROSE returns fresh and can sprint well. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – FEDERATION ROCKS EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 3,5,7,8 1,2,3,4,6,9,11,12 2,5,9 1,4,6 Market Market
