Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on January 21, 2020January 21, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 WEAPONSON was stiff not to go close first-up when just a shade slow away from the inside and crossed. Only got out when the race was over. Sat three deep at Pinjarra and held off the late charge of The Italian Job last start on Boxing Day in strong time. He should be very hard to hold out. NOBLE REFLECTION has put in two reasonable runs so far this campaign. Back into C1 company helps. REAL BEAUTY likely looking for a fair bit further than 1000m. SPIRITED LAD trialed alright back in October. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – WEAPONSON WIN Race 2 LONG BEACH trialed very impressively recently for his return to racing. Went under at a short quote last start back at Belmont but had excuses post race and has always looked like an above average type. MOGUL MAGIC comes from two very strong times races. Yet to show much but draws a gun gate with a claim. HOOLAHOOPS looks like she’ll be breaking her maiden early in the campaign and looks a 1000m filly. ERISTIC resumes and has speed to get out from a tough draw. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 14 – 1 Suggested Bet– LONG BEACH Race 3 OLGA LOUISA resumed last preparation with a C3 win and then was stepped up in grade for her next three starts. Now drops back into C3 company and trialed like a bomb in a super speedy 55.04 with the shades on. Expecting Chris Graham to fire her across and look for the fence. COSMIC EYES has been around the place all preparation and draws well. LIDO BEACH was good last time out at Albany and is super consistent. SUPER TEROITOA back to the short course an improver. Numbers: 2 – 12 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – OLGA LOUISA WIN Race 4 UNENDING put the writing on the wall last start when shooting up the fence into third place. She clocked the fastest 200m split of the race and the meeting and from the inside draw should get every chance. Needs the distance and looks a great eachway investment. BRONZE WING hit the line very well first-up and Jarrad Noske on further enhances his chances. NOBLE KING has come back to racing particularly well. PRECIOUS CARGO is going well. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – UNENDING EACHWAY Race 5 UTGARD LOKI resumes for a new stable, now with Justin Warwick, and trialed impressively at Bunbury for his return. Has a big weight to lump first-up at 1400m but he looks to have a stack of untapped ability. This is winnable with the weight. CALL AGAIN has put together three very good runs. Not disgraced in a Saturday race last time out. GREAT CHARADE covered a huge amount of ground last start and kept coming. Brave effort. EURASIA was super impressive at Albany. Draws sticky but has a turn of foot. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – UTGARD LOKI WIN Race 6 AHYOKA FROST had no luck last start and is probably better suited at the 1400 than the 1690. There is not a lot of depth to this race and with the 3kg claim of an in-form Ramoly she could run a cheeky race at a big price. CHANTREA showed little at trials but on race day was super impressive. Interesting to see if she can repeat the dose. SWEET STRAWBERRY won well last start. Tough gate but looks a progressive filly. ARSINOE has raced against better opposition than this. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – AHYOKA FROST EACHWAY Race 7 AMELIE ARGOT has the services of Paul Harvey and is drawn a gate. She should be afforded every possible chance in running and in an evenly graded race she looks to be one of the top winning chances. ZETORIO will likely open nearly double figures for a horse who absolutely bolted in last start. This is tougher but he has an X-Factor. MORE ACES rates brilliantly in this class but is racing far below his best. ZACHARIAH BEAU is going super. If he drew a gate he’d be a big chance. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 15 Suggested Bet – AMELIE ARGOT EACHWAY Quad (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,5,6,9,10 1,3,7,8 1,4,6,8,12 2,3,4,5,7,8,15 Market Market
