Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on May 1, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRUE stopped abruptly in the Oaks and certainly didn’t see out the trip. Her previous win was sound and should stroll to the top. RACY AVA is the obvious on paper but she will be mighty short. KHAWAJA is incredibly one paced, the Pontiff may put him into the race. BODEGA BEAU may appreciate taking a sit. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – PRUE EACHWAY Race 2 CRYPTIC LOVE was sound on debut and then a shade disappointing on a strange track. Pay to forgive. KENYLUCK is again drawn awkwardly but getting very close. JEDAFFAIR was eye catching last start and senior rider returns. SHE’A GALAH likely opens favorite and has done nothing wrong. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – CRYPTIC LOVE EACHWAY Race 3 FREO has excellent race form, trialed well and is capable of sliding forwards from the awkward alley into a prominent position. SHERA KHAN was eye catching in the yard and in the replay of her WA debut. MISS AUBREY has trialed soundly for a race like this and could sneak under the radar. SCINTILLATING next best. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 14 – 5 Suggested Bet – FREO WIN Race 4 VERMONT LADY was never in the race last start when caught on a limb. Stalks the speed and can even utilise the cutaway if necessary here. CHECKERS is always there abouts but rarely salutes. A BIT SKETCHY may have conditions against her but was enormous last start. GENERAL HUSSON is only going fairly at the minute. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – VERMONT LADY EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 4 No. 6 Vermont Lady - Money Back Race 5 KENTOO has resumed in unsuitable races his past two preparations and his trial without blinkers was good enough to suggest a forward showing. HEART OF COEUR drops back sharply in trip and is an intriguing runner. REYKJAVIK willl have opinions divided on his recent trial but race form is excellent. DRIFTWOOD GIRL hit the line well first-up. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – KENTOO WIN Race 6 PEARLS AND PRAWNS was always destined to struggle from the draw in three year old grade in a race dominated from the front. She is exciting and this is a massive class drop. KEEPER’S TALE saluted off the back of an 11/10 ride from Parnham last start. BOUNCE DOWN trialed impressively at her most recent. SCANDAL MAKER is fool proof and should be in the finish. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – PEARLS AND PRAWNS WIN Race 7 MONTAGNA is a query at the trip but he really did cruise through the line at his maiden victory. This field is as moderate as he has ever met and can go on with it. PALACE ROGUE ran a better race in defeat last start than his maiden win. Don’t drop him off. BEVANDA could find himself in front and from there is a chance. WITCHERY WOMAN is a grinder but getting fitter. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – MONTAGNA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,6 1,2,3 4 1,2,9 Bet Now
