Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on November 20, 2018November 21, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DAWN ARMADA comes out of a very strong edition of the Burgess Queen Stakes on Melbourne Cup day where she was pushed along a fair way from home so as to not get shuffled too far back. Effort was certainly strong enough to win this. MAGICAL CHARGE should roll straight to the front and lead them up. Looks like she will keep improving. PLAYING MARIKA sits leaders back or three back the fence and enjoys a similar run to last start. ARCHANT was stiff not to salute first-up and sits close handy. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – DAWN ARMADA WIN Race 2 FAIREDU was no match for Magical Charge last start after being backed off the charts. First-up ran into smart 3 year old The Fugazi. Jumps straight to the front and Brown will be looking to walk them and then lift the tempo from the 600 and skip away on the corner. OVER THERE has been charging from well off them in three recent runs. Going well. HIDDEN ADDICTION improved sharply last start as did DON’T LET THOMMO GO who will be huge odds. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – FAIREDU WIN Race 3 JUST A FLUKE is fairly limited in the fact that he really does need to lead to win, however, he will come out charging from a wide draw and looks every chance on paper of finding the fence. GET THE VIBE simply jumps off the page in terms of historical form but is going a shade below her best and has not been brilliantly away for a while. PRINCESS ZELDA came from off them to win over 1000m at Bunbury, not an easy thing to do. CRYPTIC LOVE trialed well without blinkers, just has a horror draw. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – JUST A FLUKE WIN Race 4 THISAWAY has found another wonderful race. Drops back from Saturday grade into a C3, a grade he has won in before. Backs up off 4 days and draws a gate to sit closer to the speed than recent assignments. UNCLE LINO almost got the money dropping back in trip last start and comes across from an awkward gate. BUCKTORIO was big in defeat on Melbourne Cup day. Always there abouts. ROGAN SCENT looks to have found a suitable assignment and gets in under the radar. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 11 – 9 Suggested Bet – THISAWAY WIN Race 5 LENNON’S SONG has really hit a purple patch of form since joining the in form JT Warwick stable. Can sit midfield from the perfect draw and come with a strong run late. FIRST GROWOTH was a big disappointment at his only crack at a staying trip but went very well in a strongly run 1800m race last start. ARCTIC STREAM finally broke through for another win last start but this field has a bit more depth. BROTHER’S KEEPER was run into the ground sitting behind Five Degrees last start, but all of these would be. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – LENNON’S SONG EACHWAY Race 6 UNIBRO is only a Bunbury maiden winner but he looked very impressive to the eye and then when you break down his late sections could be a nice animal. Drawn poorly here but with the rail at 14m unless they string out the three wide train types will get their chance. COLOURFUL CHLOE will find this a whole lot easier than the Burgess Queen where she got no luck at all. SIGNIFICANT STREAK has no numerical form from last preparation but is worth including at odds. CARRANYA LASS has her fair share of ability and was stiff late at York. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – UNIBRO WIN Race 7 VINTAGE STOCK absolutely bolted in on debut and the only vision available is from the Mounting Yard care of Britt Taylor’s iPhone. Sectionally was not the strongest race but backed it up with a nice run in Saturday three year old grade. This is clearly winnable. MAGIC PLANET has run in four far tougher races so far this preparation and is getting close. FAIRTRUSIVE was completely luckless fresh at York. Video watchers will be all over her. POINT TAKEN failed to beat a runner home last start but is better than that. Numbers: 10 – 2 – 8 – 12 Suggested Bet – VINTAGE STOCK WIN Race 8 HABARI sat three and four deep the trip first-up at a mile in a race where the second horse has already come out and franked the form. Looks a genuine staying type who could go through the grades quickly. ADMIRAL PROMO finds his weakest race of the preparation and was never a winning chance last start the way the race was run. Previous to that was eye catching behind Unikat. RED SNITZ is getting close to another win and will fly late. MEKONG DEN is going well. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – HABARI WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3,6,8 6,10 2,8,10 2,3,8 Market Market
