RACE 1

BLUE ROCKET resumed in a Saturday 3 year old event when second to sharp winner Kay Tee Why. Considering the opinion that Adam Durrant holds of the winner, happy to suggest that it’s the best form reference, however, she’s still got 58.5kg even after the ZJP claim and at the end of 1200m that could see a small filly like her vulnerable. HOBELAR won in this grade first-up off the back of a strong trial. Should only come on fitness wise. SESH broke his maiden well. GINGERQUEST has put two together in the Great Southern.

RACE 2 

BULLETIN BEAU showed a huge amount of potential in his first trial win back in June 2024 when beating Deferred by a near 3L margin. He didn’t make it to the races and had a long spell before being presented on the Bunbury Sandfibre trialling impressively over 900m. Like the horse and happy to get involved on debut. MIGHTY HOSANNA is a speedy filly who will look to zip across from the wide gate and eye off the breeze. TAKE THE FIELD was unsuccessfully plunged on debut. Had excuses – follow the money. CAP CAVOUR continues to knock on the door.

RACE 3

ENCHANTING SOUND never got into the contest first-up. She finished 8L off the winner but considering that race contained subsequent Graduation winner Premium Girl, 66+ third place getter Gi Gi Pops and even Miss Wall Street who ran well on Sunday at Ascot, she must be considered here in a very winnable 46+. SIMPLY ROSSO is going along well and can hold a spot from the draw. EXPOROSE is accepted for Wednesday and Thursday. Huge last start but maps poorly both days? PRETTY DEVINE is well placed.

RACE 4

BOUSSAC put the writing on the wall first-up and gets a gun run from barrier 1. He can track up behind King Adviso and be the first horse to attack him in the home straight. On the assumption that King Adviso will roll and break them open he looks the map / race shape horse. BE BARDOT looks like she’s a Saturday horse in the making but first-up, 1200m, 59kg, drawn wide and gets back – she’s set a task. In for a big prep. KING ADVISO is the definition of ‘all or nothing’. RACE 5

BAMBUN BOY had been building towards a win when he met with strong eachway support in a 60+ Graduation last start and finished off hard behind subsequent winner Barra Mundy. Back in grade into a C3 and provided Holly Watson can find a spot from a sticky gate he looks hard to beat. KARSAVINA is from a staying family and was scratched from the Ascot 1000 Guineas to save for this. SHAZAIR skipped right away from them for an impressive maiden win at Bunbury. TOURETTO is out in distance. Will he run the trip?

RACE 6

BLAZING EMERALD sat in the breeze last start over 1600m and proved a bit too tough for her opposition. Beat key rivals Happy As Larry and Rommel’s Goddess that day and seems to be improving into the preparation. This race has 5 – 6 legitimate winning chances and she’s one of them. Think she’ll nearly land 1×1 with speed drawn wide. ALLEGRO SONATA hasn’t been seen for nearly a month as Stef Vahala has searched for the right set up. He’s found it here and now he’s got Pike too. BEEJAY BOY is fit and can be put into the race. ROMMEL’S GODDESS tries hard.

RACE 7

COME ON EMMA was backed into $1.32 last start off an encouraging performance in the 3 year old Magic Millions. Considering the hip and shoulder she copped on straightening thought she did a good job to pick up again late and gave the impression stepping to 1400m would suit. Just needs to find a back to follow. MASTERLY was too good last week in a 3 year old 0MWLY. This is a drop in grade off 7 days and he’ll be hard to beat again. OISIN trialled really well and looks to have plenty of upside. Like the shades going on. SIR DUSKIN really caught the eye late last start.
