Scott Embry’s Tuesday Geraldton Preview Posted on January 29, 2019January 29, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DALGARANGA has been competitive enough in the provincial maidens to think that with Pike aboard and up to Geraldton he would be very hard to hold out. POPPIES does deserve to win one. Surely been frustrating for connections but their patience should pay off. BLUE EMOTION has put together two good ones since returning. MONTENERO can improve if ridden aggressively. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – DALGARANGA WIN Race 2 ALLURING is first-up this preparation and from the gate should be given every chance. Could be a big day for the Parnham stable. WILD MEMORIES has really improved at her last couple. Pike will mean she almost starts favourite. DEE TRUMP was good last start when trying to lead all the way. SWEET TALKIN has been impressive at both third placings this campaign. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ALLURING WIN Race 3 BAY PUBLISHER has a horror gate to overcome but Jade McNaught is really starting to assert herself on the senior ranks. If he can get any luck from the gate or somehow end up in the breeze should go mighty close. TRADEMARK has noted feet issues and has bars added but Pike goes on and he has been promising to win one all preparation. HUSSON MAID is a brilliant bread and butter horse for connections. DYNAMITE JACK could be an improver at odds. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – BAY PUBLISHER WIN Race 4 LORENTINIO has been settling off speed recently but definitely did his best work when formerly with Jim Taylor right over the speed. Has options from the inside gate and Alan Kennedy should give him every chance. KWIKON THE TRIGGER is likely to come out running and try to cross. KINTAIL was poor last start but previously looked like winning one. HOT STAR has been hitting the line hard and now W.Pike gets on. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – LORENTINIO WIN Race 5 YEAH BRAVO has come back really well this preparation. This is far and away the easiest race he has contested and one the weaker ones he has seen since arriving in WA. He sits right in the box seat and should win this. SOUTHERN SON looks the logical danger. Been huge in defeat last two and now has the state’s leading rider. CATALYST FIRE has been good since arriving in the state. STELLINA one to watch at odds. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – YEAH BRAVO WIN Race 6 BOLLINGER BOY has been freshened and drops back in trip. He seems to love the mile at Gero and if he can get a cart into the race looks hard to hold out. FIELD OF VISION is maybe racing a touch below his best but he is honest and super consistent. FREEDOM BY CHOICE is no doubt aimed up at the Geraldton Cup and can go well here. VITAL POWER is hitting form after a long injury enforced absence. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – BOLLINGER BOY WIN Race 7 NEUROLOGICAL really is hard to tip past. He is charging through the grades and gets another perfect draw to sit just off a very hot tempo and unleash late in the race. His Fitzpatrick Plate win was brilliant. RED PUBLISHER has a huge weight and a woeful draw but he is racing extremely well and this is a nice race for him. THAAD brings some X-Factor to the race and should be given every chance from the gate. BARAKI BEATS has been a revelation since going to Gero, he’ll come across and ensure the tempo is hot. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – NEUROLOGICAL WIN Race 8 JENABEL drops out of a Saturday Graduation race which is proving to be strong form. Senior rider on, sits close handy and really does look the way home in the last. JUPITER RISING has finally hit form and fulfilling some of the promise he showed as a juvenile. GOLDEN ACRES rattled home last start and won impressively. MEGAMIND will appreciate the drop in grade here. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – JENABEL WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2 1,2,3,4,9 1,2,4,6,8,9 2,5,8 Market Market
