Scott Embry’s Tuesday Ascot Preview Posted on November 4, 2024November 4, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MYTHICAL DREAM has been a costly follow since a luckless first-up run at Bunbury. Since then she has got caught up behind tiring horses at Geraldton in races where the leaders (and winners) have been off and gone by the time she’s got out. Racing like 1800m will suit and gets Pike aboard. AL UNIQUE found the line strongly behind Rosie Can Run and then was well commissioned over 2100 last start. Back in distance, blinkers on and logical danger. AHREA has been solid in all three runs for Ryan Hill this campaign. UNI STRIKE was scratched last week to save for this. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – MYTHICAL DREAM WIN RACE 2 RALLY THE TROOPS comes through the ridiculously strong, winner producing, punters paradise form reference race of Yonga Pride, Patron Express, Catch Carter, Six Shooter and King Hit from Bunbury on 9 October and then toyed with them at Geraldton with the blinkers on. Half brother to Northam Cup winner Bucket’s Ridge and looks to have a future. VERRY TIMELY ran a great race fresh last campaign over 1400m behind multiple subsequent Saturday winner Sensessional before striking a few wet tracks. CASHEL PALACE nearly got knocked over in a maiden last start. COSMIC ECLIPSE jumps up sharply in distance. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – RALLY THE TROOPS WIN RACE 3 BORDER FORCE deserves to win one this preparation and with Chris Parnham going on this looks to be his chance. Wide throughout behind Great Fortune three back, held up in the home straight two back, held up the majority of the home straight again last start. Melbourne Cup meetings with the rail out have historically suited those swooping down the centre and he can be ridden in that manner. TRUE PLAYER looks an emerging stayer in the making. He’ll just need luck from three back the fence. MOUNTAIN ASH rolls along and is very well placed back in grade. DASH OF BRANDY rarely runs a bad race. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – BORDER FORCE WIN RACE 4 TACTICS trialled super without blinkers and then was huge first-up when sitting four deep for the majority of the race. Still had the audacity to loom up to them at the 200m marker and only faded out late to finish fourth behind stablemate Nickelplay. Back to 1000, drawn far better and looks in for a good prep. MAGNIQUE ran a ripper from the back of the field on debut and then was only run down by Catch Carter at Belmont last start and on Saturday he matched motors with Wind And The Lion in the Placid Ark Prelude. HAIDA GWAII comes through the Magna’s Choice / Ripper Farooq race that rated through the roof at Northam. BOUDOIR BELLE is very quick and is forgotten in the market at 50-1. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – TACTICS WIN RACE 5 YALLINGUP GIRL was scratched from Saturday to save for this and some of her recent formlines through In Good Order / Simply / Buckets Ridge really stand out coming back in grade. Steve Parnham should have parked midfield with cover and be peeling out to make her run around the bend. BUCKEYE BULLET was 6 weeks between runs last start over 1600m when flashing home late behind Audio Boy. Prior to that was knocking on the door over 2000m+. Danger. ICEBERGS sneaks back into a C3 and the trial leading into his return behind Siren Assault was very encouraging. FAMOUS DAIN is double accepted for Ascot and Bunbury. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – YALLINGUP GIRL EACHWAY RACE 6 SHOW THE WAY and RAINLINE are drawn wide but that could also mean that they end up in the three deep train which might just be the place to be on Tuesday. Fresh runs behind Catch The Red Eye / Wicked Venom and Ahyeahrighto / God’s Gate respectively were solid and both should only improves off the runs. DEFINE BEAUTIFUL has a tongue tie added to her gear (not blinkers). SUNLIT FRESCO is a sharp mare resuming without a trial in a race with plenty of depth. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – SHOW THE WAY EACHWAY RACE 7 DEAMBER has raced in higher grade at her last five outings and looks well placed by Steph Bakranich back into a 0MWLY handicap. Attacked the line strongly 24 days ago through traffic behind Cosmic Crusader / Keep Attacking / Brave Spirit / Miss Flirtacious / Wubin Gold / Esprit Garcon / Sentimental Belle and should find the moving line and sweep into the race late. MADAME MAGIC was a brilliant fresh winner over 1200m last preparation. She’s another who has the firepower to get back and charge home late. ON PATROL is 1 from 18 but a lot of his runs have been without luck. OUR ROCKY BAY a watch fresh. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 8 – 14 Suggested Bet – DEAMBER WIN RACE 8 RON’S FINALFLUTTER ran second behind West Star on debut as a 2y ear old when sitting wide throughout and was immediately tipped out for a spell. First-up this preparation broke her maiden in style and then went to a C3 1200m when getting a long way back and savaging the line in a race where they stopped the clock 5L faster than average. 1400m suits and banking on three deep cover being the spot to be throughout the meeting. FLOWER OF GOLD clocked some slick closing sections last start with a dominant win over a talented horse. Big X-Factor. NICKELPLAY looked a Champion Fillies / Guineas type as a 2 year old and franked that opinion first-up with a strong maiden win. DIAMOND DANCER can burn them off and really stretch the field out. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – RON’S FINALFLUTTER EACHWAY RACE 9 PROCESSIO got to the line well at her return to racing behind Ahyeahrighto and God’s Gate and with any luck Ron’s Finalflutter will make that form look even stronger if she can run a race in the Burgess Queen Stakes. She’ll blend in midfield with cover and look to make her run through traffic late. Pike in the last on Cup Day – iconic. SUNBRONZED has found form and will work across into a prominent position throughout. CANNY CONI ran a huge race behind Olympic Park second-up from a long spell. DREAMERS NEVER DIE has found form with Peter Fernie on the Goldfields recently. Numbers: 13 – 2 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – PROCESSIO WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,5,6,8,13 2,4,8 2,3,4,6,7,8,9,13 13 Market Market
