Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 12, 2018July 12, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 COMBAT READY has impressed at all three runs in his career. Has natural gate speed to either pounce straight on the lead or box seat from the inside. ABELDANE is very green, still improving, still learning. May be best allowed simply to roll. QUEEN KARNILLA went under as an odds on favourite last start but the race was farcically slow with nothing a chance from beyond midfield. FIRST BLACK has had an interesting preparation but should be able to stay. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 9 – 11 Suggested Bet – COMBAT READY WIN Race 2 LOVE STRIKES looks to have struck another race and the step up to a mile should be in his favour. Found traffic at his most recent and the form line has already held up. GEOGRAPHE BAY made steady ground two starts ago and backed it up going down narrowly at his most recent. PRINCE EIGHT was well thought of on debut and should find a softer lead here. ALSO AWESOME is yet to show much but could be an improver at odds with a soft run. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – LOVE STRIKES WIN Race 3 ALI BARBER is likely to start a fairly short priced favourite but can lead up this field and that might be his best chance yet. BUFF MAN was solid all of last preparation but has failed to fire a solitary shot so far since joining a new stable. Looking for improvement. CONTESSA VERA was only fair on debut but the step up helps. MIXED GRILL draws a gate for the first time in his career. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – ALI BARBER WIN Race 4 KENDEL’S MEE DAD trialed well on a couple of occasions. Got right out in betting for his debut and the run was better than face value. Better for the experience and drawn soft. BEAUTIFUL MIND has trailed well for her debut and it wouldn’t surprise to see a strong sustained betting move. TOTAL DISC was impressive last start and must be considered. PEPIJACK was some run outside Maiden company. Like to see him to do it again. Numbers: 8 – 14 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – KENDEL’S MEE DAD EACHWAY Race 5 CHIEF COCHISE has had a long time away from the race track and a stable change. Obviously had a number of issues but is speedy and drawn the right side of the track. COSMIC EYES has only competed at one of her three career outings. If she can reproduce any of her trial efforts, goes mighty close. COLOUR WITNESS and CLASSY MARCY both have speed to get across from tricky draws. Numbers: 1 – 14 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – CHIEF COCHISE WIN Race 6 TRIPELETTO is drawn to find the outside fence and most importantly has speed to find the outside fence. Stable can produce a straight track winner, keep in mind. HALUSA has had a very long time away from the races and is drawn the wrong side but trained locally is worth gold. BOLD SUCCESS gets back and charges through traffic late. TRANSGRESSOR is an enigma but on his day is extremely hard to beat. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – TRIPELETTO EACHWAY Race 7 KING OF JUDAH has improved at every run in his career and was only knocked off by a fairly handy type at his most recent. If he can find cover from the tricky gate should be hard to toss. KIA ORA STAR was a little below par last preparation but his most recent trial suggests he may be back to his best. GO CRYING was well supported and ran accordingly first-up. TOW ROPE can give some cheek from outside the leader at odds. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – KING OF JUDAH WIN Race 8 TRIPLE EVENT was held up behind tiring horses at crucial stages last start. Prior to that was caught extremely wide the trip and kept coming. Looks a nice race for him. IRISH MOSHE would really appreciate any rain to develop. Reunited with William Pike also a big positive to chances. FINANCE is not the easiest horse to ride but if Whiting can get him to go straight is worth including. VITAL RESERVE has a tendency to bob up at a big price from time to time. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 2 – 13 Suggested Bet – TRIPLE EVENT WIN Race 9 HALUSHI may have found the race where he can lead them up, control and then go for home a fair way out and try to run them off their feet. TRIPLE EXPRESS continues to run good races and always goes round at a price. Stil think she’ll pick one off. SALON DU CHEVAL hasn’t been seen for almost 2 months. Deserves favoritism but likely to go round very short; interesting preparation. MISS MEIKA needs everything to go her way and the splits at the right time. Very short turn of foot. Numbers: 10 – 12 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – HALUSHI PLACE Race 10 LORD LUDLOW tends to go best when he can settle in the first couple in running. IF Jason Brown can get across, he is right in the mix. BROTHER’S KEEPER went from strength to strength last preparation. The draw really hurts his winning chances but expecting a pretty big run. HAY MAGIC was an eye catching effort from a near on impossible position last start. Worth including. BOLD VICTORY is going to go round at a big price. Worth forgiving most of his staying runs. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – LORD LUDLOW EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 1,3 2,4,5,6 1,2,3,4,10,12,13 1,2,3,4,8,9,12 Market Market
