Has jumped favourite on four occasions and finished second at all five of them. He’s a jump and run 1000m horse and again gets his opportunity to lead into the corner at Northam and kick off the bend. The JP Taylor racing team have pulled out the last rabbit in the hat, changing colours mid-prep. Superstitious. OUTFIELD can track him round leader’s back and was unlucky not to finish closer to him when they last met behind After Party. REGAL STATUE is the full brother to State Solicitor and has trialled well for new trainer Donna Riordan. PLATINUM CLASS is a month between runs and wasn’t far from Military Power/Outfield last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – MILITARY POWER WIN RACE 2 RYEWOOD looks to have found a lovely race in which to break her maiden. Held up the entire length of the home straight at Geraldton and then finished just in behind Beats Of War, Sassy Skye and Super Romani in a maiden which should hold up as a form reference. Northam has been off fence so far this season and she should be right place, right time. STAY ASTERN was a big improver behind Duchess Of Gossip. Like that as a form race. CRYSTAL ROSE was given every mortal hope last week in a maiden 5L slower than average. ARAFISIO may need further but is going along alright. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – RYEWOOD WIN RACE 3 TORPEDOMAN is quick and will likely look to cross these and try to run them ragged. His trial was hard to miss, leading, rolling and winning by over 3.5L in slick time breaking a minute at Belmont Park. Needs to bring his trial form to the races but looks better than just a maiden. CRYSTALIST loomed large outside of Military Power at his WA debut but as soon as he hit the front the bubble burst and he stopped badly in the last 50m. May have needed it? CHEVAP wasn’t a bad trial behind two nice types in Stevie’s May and Almaya. WEAPONIZE never gave it away at York and kept coming to the line. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – TORPEDOMAN WIN RACE 4 WHO BE WHATEE vs VINGINDA looks the story of the race here. WHO BE WHATEE tramped three deep throughout last start and pushed talented filly Shot Of Elegance to the line and is now drawn to get the run of the race. VINGINDA sat six and seven deep throughout in her back straight 930m trial at Lark Hill and was too powerful late for Great Demon (races Wednesday at Belmont). Going with the race experience and barrier advantage of WHO BE WHATEE but with massive respect and expectation for VINGINDA. GARDEN QUARTZ tries hard. TWO BROTHERS caught the eye at York. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – WHO BE WHATEE WIN RACE 5 OLY’S CHOICE is a very nice galloper on his day. He’s won 4 from 12 and was enormous in the Fitzpatrick Plate before being DQ’d post-race. First-up last preparation he romped in a Westspeed Platinum event with 60kg and he returns here trying to keep his undefeated fresh record and his undefeated Northam record in tact. TREVERN usually grows a leg at Northam and is 3 from 3 over 1100m. He’ll roll them along and is always hard to get past. MEGA REWARD has been huge at his last three outings. He’s bursting to win a race and the booking of Parnham takes the attention. GIFTED WARRIOR was some sort of win at Albany. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – OLY’S CHOICE WIN RACE 6 HE’SGOTWINGS was good fresh behind Universal Flair at Belmont when working his way through traffic late into third, equally good behind Climb On Top and Sisu Warrior at Northam over 1100m second-up and then was well supported in a deep C3 behind Without Reg when getting home better than anything late. Back to C1, blinkers first time and Pike sticks. Plenty to like. LINE OF DUTY trialled well and then was too strong for them late at York on debut. Think she measures up here. JUST GOT PAID and CHARCOAL CHAOS come from Kalgoorlie racing and both haven’t had much luck go their way recently. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – HE’SGOTWINGS WIN RACE 7 SECRET PEARL is in great form. She’s only a 6 year old mare but it feels like she’s been around for a lot longer than that. Won in this grade two starts ago when sneaking up the fence and then was charging home last week behind Fat Roy Slim. Back to a 50+, off 7 days, drawn barrier 1 to get a soft run and is back in form. FLOAT OUR BOAT rolled along at a really strong tempo last week. The overall race time was 10L faster than average and he didn’t give it away. Bradley Parnham is 3 from 5 on him. PASARAN backs up and if he can reproduce his run of two starts ago he’s in the mix. THE ROAN RANGER is nearly impossible to catch but looks to be going along ok. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – SECRET PEARL EACHWAY RACE 8 NUNES looks really well placed by Tony Ward. She won a C3 three starts ago (deadheat with Black Spirit) and since then she’s finished third behind Pearly Nugget and Kelvinator (DQ’d due to admin error) and then fifth behind Rusty Dreams in a high rating 3 year old race. Last time she was in this grade she won with 58kg, here she’s only got 57.5kg. Should be right in the mix. SISU WARRIOR was stiff not to win first-up. He’s clearly come back well and from the gate he’ll get every chance. Logical danger and big danger at that. FIND YOUR MAN and PENNY’S AFIELD both get back in their races but have nice point to point speed. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – NUNES WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,3,6 5,6 1,2,6,7,8,9,10,11 1,2,4,5,6,9 Market Market
