Scott Embry’s Thursday Northam Preview Posted on August 15, 2018August 15, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SPEEDY MISS has put the writing on the wall at all three career runs and the form behind Snowchino now looks very strong. Gets her chance. ALLURING was scratched to be saved for this more appropriate race, improved sharply last start. ZEPHYR QUEEN may bounce straight to the top and give them all something to chase down. I’M PRETTY finished a fair way off them in a recent trial but should have improved since. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet: SPEEDY MISS WIN Race 2 SEASIDE SERENADE had a wonderful campaign when last in work. Was subsequently disqualified from two runs but that takes nothing away from the quality of her runs. Can give this a big shake. FINE SCENT leads or box seats and has strong 3 year old form references. UNIVERSAL APPEAL was well supported in the early markets before the meeting was abandoned. HOPELANDER ran a cheeky race at big odds last time out. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet: SEASIDE SERENADE WIN Race 3 DANCE MUSIC looks like yet another Simon Miller juvenile destined to go close to winning on debut. Always well schooled and always ready to go. WISE MONKEY ran three quality races last preparation and is rarely far away from the winner. MISS MANDY trialed well for her return and ran accordingly. Liked the effort. JINDA NINJA showed glimpses at trials that she is yet to bring to the races. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet: DANCE MUSIC WIN Race 4 ROGER THE DODGER has always been a consistent type who goes round at double figure prices and runs honest races midfield. This is the best chance he will get. SON OF A COAT has returned below expectations so far this campaign. Ran a few handy races last prep. ORIENTAL ROSE should have no excuse from the gun draw. LOST CROWN went well on debut. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet: ROGER THE DODGER WIN Race 5 FIRST GROWTH looks like a one paced type who will appreciate getting out over ground in time. Couldn’t accelerate with them last start but kept coming. TORTINA is dropping back from the staying trip after running three excellent races. Draw hurts. COASTAL CHILL didnt show a lot first up but needs this sort of trip and an uninterrupted run at them. TWENTY THREE RED races over the speed and should run a race. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet: FIRST GROWTH WIN Race 6 REEF KEEPER was beaten out of sight last start but Prying Tom put on a staying exhibition. Should roll forwards and end up controlling the speed in the breeze. MAGIC LAS VEGAS is probably best served leading however they have been attempting to sit the horse. Perfect draw means Hill can do either. CARAZORO will run a cheeky race at cricket score odds in the near future. STRIKES TWICE from the soft draw an improved. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet: REEF KEEPER WIN Race 7 VITAL ASSET was simply run off his feet when gallantly attempting to chase down speedy pair Captain Stirling and Glasgow Girl. Goes round at an eachway quote and is one to consider. LOFTY LAD resuming is a nice type in the making. Still green and raw but has a motor. THE NICCONIAN is far better suited in this grade. COLOURFUL CHARADE boasts some nice 3 year old form from when last in work. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet: VITAL ASSET EACHWAY Quaddie 4,5,6,9 4,5,7,9 1,4 1,3,4,8 Market Market
