Scott Embry’s Thursday Northam Preview Posted on September 11, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 LYLE’S CHOICE really stretched a nice one in Adelaide Ace last start. They kicked 4 lengths clear of the rest of the field and he should only be improved by the race experience. Short but sweet in a small field. LEICA JAGUAR is the big danger and they really should clear out from the rest. Good effort last start behind Born to Try. MISSALFIE and BELLA SCELTA can round out the minors. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – LYLE’S CHOICE WIN Race 2 MIDNIGHT BLACK put in a good staying performance two back when running second to Celtic Diva beating home subsequent maiden winner Bloom Away in the process. Dropped back to a mile at Kal and was simply looking for further. Looks hard to beat. QUEEN KARNILLA has been settling well off them from wide draws. Warwick can have her closer here. SILVER QUEEN loomed as the winner last start. AMAZING LOVE caught the eye last time out. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – MIDNIGHT BLACK WIN Race 3 PARIS REPORT takes on the older horses but gets 5kg weight relief for doing so. Last start finished a distant third behind Celebrity Queen and Some Sort. That form reads for itself. SECAIT trialed really well and then nothing went right first-up for favourite backers. Shades come straight off for the new yard and Pike goes on. SCANDOLO was run down by a smart one last start. SON OF A GOD trialed well from back in the field at Lark Hill. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – PARIS REPORT WIN Race 4 MISS MARANTA has no real race form, beaten 5L on debut then beaten 10L at her other career outing. Both trials for her return have been good including a most recent one behind Saturday winner Nerodio. VITALILO gave cheek first-up when leading. TRASH PANDA was a big run last start at 100-1. SEEING DAYLIGHT comes from the same race. Very thin maiden. Numbers: 8 – 10 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – MISS MARANTA WIN Race 5 ORAVA has been well supported in almost every career outing and finally gets back to a winnable race. After breaking his maiden in style he has been in a C5 Sky Racing Series Heat, two strong C1s behind Western Pride and Inspirational Gal, and this preparation two C3 races. Hard to beat in this. KORANIS was the target of relentless support first-up and the money certainly hit. He looks the hardest to beat off that effort. TESTA DE LADO should lead comfortably. ENSIGN PULVER was good last week and is on the quick back-up. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – ORAVA WIN Race 6 CHAMPAGNE GAL has been a bit hard to follow this preparation putting in encouraging runs without winning. Since uniting with Lucy Warwick looks to have gone to a new level and last start’s effort in a 60+ was career best. FROSTY HEART is racing well and will pinch one soon for Kristy Bennett. ARTIE’S JEWELS is green and raw but has a motor. AVA EXPRESS has put together two good runs. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – CHAMPAGNE GAL WIN Race 7 GLOBAL RESET was never one that suggested to the eye he would stay but his last two have been excellent. His most recent win was strong and he naturally travels in the run. He can box seat and win again. SUGAR CAIN simply runs for W.Pike. His re-engagement is the biggest positive this horse can have. ABELDANE is ready to win and drops from a 64+ to a 55+. UNCLE LINO was going really well but his last two were a bit flat. At his best can lead and win. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – GLOBAL RESET WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,5,6,7,8,10 1,5 1,2,7,9 1,2,3,4 Market Market
