Scott Embry’s Thursday Geraldton Preview Posted on February 5, 2019February 6, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 THE CROWN PRINCE was a nice trial and then went well first-up. From the gate either leads or box seats and has no excuse. PUB BRAWL got a long way off them on debut and made no impression. Trials previously suggested he had a little bit. CAN HE HUSSEL was gone at the 800 only 15 days ago. If he produces his best he can win however. SHERA KHAN can win a maiden in the region. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – THE CROWN PRINCE WIN Race 2 IN THE MOSH PIT should roll straight to the top and be far too strong. Form has tapered off the last couple but if she was to run to her first-up or second-up efforts then she’ll be mighty hard to beat. HEMINGWAYS has the stable’s first choice rider engaged which is a concern to the top selection. WILD MEMORIES was backed as if unbeatable last start and didn’t get much luck at all. SLUICE BOX showed some ability at trials and draws soft. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – IN THE MOSH PIT WIN Race 3 HOT STYLE showed more than sufficient ability to win in the metro area before joining owners up in the Midwest. This race looks his for the taking and expect him to settle off them and fly late for the Geraldton King. KWIKON THE TRIGGER goes better when he can find the fence. Will come out running. SWEET TALKIN was a peach of a ride from Hill last start and can go on with it. VITAL ASSET has run two good races and two average races. His best is good enough. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – HOT STYLE WIN Race 4 ON THE TURPS was a sensational run in the Batavia Sprint. He was going well early in the preparation when having no luck in Perth. Will get back and be running on hard late. TRADE TALK was also a good run in the feature and he goes very well in this grade. NAT THE FYFE is back, last seen 447 days and 347 social media posts ago. Trialed well. CRANKY DANCER can never be ruled out. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – ON THE TURPS WIN Race 5 HECADANE’S CHOICE has been whacking away in this kind of race all campaign. He will need some luck from the outside gate but looks to be building towards another win. AMAVENITA looks like finding the front for an inform Jordy Turner and can roll along. FREEDOM BY CHOICE was a nice run last start and has staying ability. SOUTHER SON is a query at the trip but has a turn of foot. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – HECADANE’S CHOICE Race 6 BIG SHOT PADDY is fresh, 56 days between runs and usually settles off the speed so from gate 1 could end up three back the fence but if Turner can hold leader’s back he looks hard to hold out. HOT STAR was given a W.Pike special last start and can definitely make it two on the bounce. BULL BIZARRE is a big awkward horse but has an X-Factor. STANDUPNDELIVER is never far from the action. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – BIG SHOT PADDY WIN Race 7 DIAMOND JOLSON may be allowed to stride here by Tan and fresh she could run a cheeky race at odds if she leads. DASHING IMAGE is going for four on the bounce and there’s no reason to suggest he can’t. JUPITER RISING has hit a purple patch of form but may be in a fair bit of traffic. LORENTINIO down in the weights looks well placed to bounce back to form. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – DIAMOND JOLSON EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,5,7,9 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,12 2,4 1,2,3,5,7 Market Market
