Scott Embry’s Thursday Bunbury Preview Posted on April 10, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PEARL DANCER should be out in front for a long way and in a weak race he can give a cheeky sight at odds. MORNING SONG is likely to open nearly odds on which is far too short for what she has shown to date. Not one of Bob’s A-Graders by the looks. OVERTHRONE is consistent but limited. SOLARIZE looked sharp in a 400m jump out but race conditions completely different. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – PEARL DANCER EACHWAY Race 2 IMPI can give real cheek on debut. If Lucy Warwick can bounce him out and find the front he looks a typical Delroy bred horse who will stay all day. No surprise to see him find the front and try to up tempo a fair way out to grind them into the ground. SULPHUR CRESTED is the logical winner. Will be extremely short but very hard to beat. KRAKKAS is building. Just needs more ground but tracking well. DELECTABLE DOLLY has been getting under the radar and running good races at odds. Numbers: 5 – 9 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – IMPI WIN Race 3 LOOKOUT picks himself here. He will be short but he deserves to break through. Narrowly beaten first-up, good thing licked second-up, and his last two have been in far stronger Saturday 3 year old races. ICE TRADE and FROSTY BELLE trialed alongside each other recently at Bunbury and both were impressive and will win races. COOL FROST trialed well for her first-up assignment. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 11 – 10 Suggested Bet – LOOKOUT WIN Race 4 CINNAMON RUN was scratched from Wednesday to be saved for this. A month between runs after a solid first-up outing. This is not the strongest maiden of all time and looks hard to beat. TESTA DE LAGO transfers to team Martin and has been trialing up well for a return. Two nice runs last preparation on speed. VENGEANCE OF WAR is a quirky horse. Yet to fully prove his ability, possibly shades will help. BELLANCO has trialed alright on all three occasions and is not impossible on debut. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 8 – 15 Suggested Bet – CINNAMON RUN WIN Race 5 PARTY NIGHT is far better suited in this class than where resuming fresh. Set an extremely strong tempo on a day suiting those off the fence and the My Demi form is strong with two subsequent winners already. Leads from the gate and should be in the mix. BRINGON THE VEUVE was the target of smart money fresh and she duly saluted. It was an emphatic and authoritative win. Can make it two on the bounceFUTURIST is hard to catch but seems to go well fresh. DOSHRIKE will break her long run of outs sometime for her patient connections. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – PARTY NIGHT EACWHAY Race 6 LAVISTARR took a few runs to really hit her straps and her maiden win was far from brilliant on the clock or to the eye but she falls into a C1 race which is arguably even weaker than her maiden opponents last start. Should be too good. THROWDOWN is suited over further, he can grind away fresh. Looking for 4000 at the Bool. GROOVERSHAKER improved last start for a stable who likes their tried horses. FASHION FORWARD will likely be left alone in front for a fair way. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – LAVISTARR WIN Race 7 SNOW BLOSSOM was excellent first-up last preparation when thrown into a Saturday race at opening meet. He got back, charged late and the race was off the charts in terms of benchmark speed. He can win this. GET THE VIBE was a great run last start and has relished being kept fresh. Again well placed. STAR GLITTER has been teasing punters and will have followers again. Looks ready. THREE SECRETS was all the rage down at Albany when scratched behind the gates. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – SNOW BLOSSOM EACHWAY Race 8 LENNON’S SONG backs up off 8 days from a reasonable run last week. The leaders got away with it and she was still able to make solid ground. Gets back and winds up in a fairly weak race. PLEAD THE FIFTH has been screaming out for this trip and regular rider goes back on. DIPLOMAT EXPRESS can bob up at odds when he gets out to this trip. Keep safe. I’M A LOVE MAN backs up from Saturday, senior on and draws a gate. Include him. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – LENNON’S SONG WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3 1,3 1,2,3,4 2,3,4,8 Market Market
